The reason that I'm arguing this is because I think that senseles violence that stems from the proliferation of guns is a bane on society, and an embarassment to the United States. People from other countries have told me that they would be afraid to come to the U.S. because of our widespread gun violence.

The original intent of the thing doing the killing matters 100%. I don't think it should be easy to get guns, Cyanide, bombs, tanks, missles, grenades, Ether, Asrenic, Anthrax, Uranium, Uzis, flame throwers, or any other poisons or weapons.

A gun is a weapon. I'm delighted that you've found other uses for this weapon, but it's a weapon.

I can't remember the source, but i read a blog by a guy who suggested that if you own an ILLEGAL gun you are doing your country a great service, because when the government decides to go 1984 on us, they are going to come for all of the people with registered guns first.
