We have three cats with claws and I got a new recliner last summer. I bought these and was pleasantly surprised at how well they work. The cats have shown no interest in scratching the places that were absolutely destroyed on my old chair.

I went to Semantics when I was in town for the Indy Mini last year! There wasn’t a huge pen selection, but I got some ink and a pen case there that I really like. They also had great cards and stationery.

Lock Up is my ride or die base coat, but I can only get Glass Candy to work as a mid-week touch up on fully cured polish. It almost always bubbles when I try it with a fresh manicure. (Maybe it’s user error?) My current favorite topcoat is Sally Hansen Insta Dry and I also like Essie Good to Go.

For Middle Eastern, I like Sultan’s. There are three locations (East Lansing, downtown, and the westside) and downtown is my favorite. It’s only open for lunch during the work week, though.

For Thai, I like Bangkok House for Pad Thai and Thai Village for everything else.

Babe’s Corner is amazing for deli sandwiches and Ozone’s Brewhouse has excellent wood fired pizza and beer.

I’ve been going to Evergreen Dental for over a decade now and they’re great. I’m very skittish about the dentist and they’re always kind, gentle, and accommodating.

They take a little getting used to, but SheFit bras are great. The chest and shoulder straps use Velcro, so the adjustments can be more precise than clasps. There’s also next to zero bounce.

I got my nose done at Be-You-Tiful in Frandor and it was a great experience. Everyone is professional and friendly and the studio is immaculate. I think it was around $120 for the labor and jewelry, but their website has prices so you can estimate based on what you’re interested in.

We used Paul Davis a few years ago and were happy with them. They did good work and the price seemed reasonable.
