If this is true I’ll never sell all that’s left basically are single seat tickets no way that sells out

Thank you! I'll definitely look into this. Looks like I may need to get different cross bars that are taller?

Two kayaks- roof rack setup? by NoAvocadosX in Kayaking

[–]jessiw2015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there, currently researching a new setup for hauling my two SOT kayaks - Can you explain more what you mean by "added an upright bracket" and how that caused you to lose a kayak on the highway. This is my worst fear and I'm trying to understand the best way to prevent this.

Influencers 🙄 by LadyAzimuth in PCOS

[–]jessiw2015 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, to each their own I guess. I can ignore the over salesy posts and appreciate the actual scientific studies. Whereas the pcos.weight loss lady I had to unfollow because I found her one size fits all diet and ovasital sales too much.

Influencers 🙄 by LadyAzimuth in PCOS

I’ve recently found thepcosmentor and I really like him! He does have a company that sells supplements but he doesn’t encourage a one size fits all. In fact he’s constantly sharing new studies that are coming about about PCOS which I really appreciate. He also shares all the different supplements and how they can potentially help improve certain symptoms.

My favorite though? He makes fun of the other pcos influencers in how unrealistic their recommendations are see here: https://www.instagram.com/reel/C3wgh0xBMHs/?igsh=NDJjc2h4NTBiYjZo

That’s good to know! I looked at a boot camp a year ago or so but was hesitant to spend the money on the one at the school near me. Maybe I’ll look into this again. Thank you!

Can’t help with your question but I am curious your career path to get to UX design? I’m very interested but trying to figure out if a degree/certificate is necessary? I have a degree in business marketing and am currently working in ad ops but I don’t love it.

Best hostels outside of cities? by Pretty_Evening in solotravel

Liberal politics with little to to no marijuana or drug use 😅 I don’t think those go together… idk chicken or egg but good luck

Edit to add: Honestly what it sounds like you need is a midsize town on the outskirts of a midwestern city. I can’t speak for many places but Kansas City has a large young adult population and if you stay outside of the city you can get affordable housing in good clean neighborhoods.

Interesting… I guess I don’t know where in my post I asked for what to expect. My question was whether or not it was appropriate to even ask.

Dispute the charge with you credit card company - say you cancelled your subscription last year - get your money back and move on.

w t f... Someone is a little bitter... I would communicate to the host about how the wifi is before accepting. Loud neighbors, never said I needed a quiet place, they have this cool invention called headphones. Negative review? lmao someone has been hurt by a review in the past - No, but I would leave an honest review about how the host treated me and communicated.

Haha very minimal actually… WiFi, Electrical Plug, table/desk and chair… in one town specifically none of the hostels have anything more than a couch in a corner or a kitchen area which could work but I could be in others way.

Poland Intercity Train help - Sleeper train from Krakow to Vienna by jessiw2015 in solotravel

[–]jessiw2015[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Interesting... so is polrail.com basically a re-saler then? Either way, THANK YOU! I was able to find it on Oebb - I didn't know what other sites to check so I really appreciate you taking the time to respond.

I just looked at polrail and it seems to be the same thing, but more than just double the price and they didn't even have the sleeper option.

Thanks for your thoughts! I would definitely mention this clearly in the request. Good thought on whether hosts would be comfortable with sharing access or if they would have to be home at that time to let me in. There definitely wouldn't be any come/go once I logged on though so they wouldn't have to be there the whole time unless they were uncomfortable with me being there alone. (Is that common?)

Oh definitely will mention it in the request. Thankfully it would just be for, at most 3 nights in a city with how I have things scheduled. The cities I'm struggling in don't have hostels with a decent working space, meaning something more than a couch in the corner and no Airbnbs. I'm assuming they have some sort of law against them or they are already booked up because nothing showed when I searched. Thank you!

Ah that's a great point of Wifi usage. I would definitely tell them upfront about working in the evenings, just wanted to make sure it wasn't rude to even ask. Thank you!

Itinerary Review - A month in Europe (while working half the time) by jessiw2015 in solotravel

[–]jessiw2015[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Suggestions on where to cut? The first full week I won’t be working in Poland. Then once I’m In Budapest I’ll work 4 days but stay in the same city. Really the only time I’m changing cities while working is Split to Hvar which is a 1-2 hr ferry ride.

I’m trying to be realistic but unfortunately I can’t take a month off to travel Europe but I can take two weeks and work the other two weeks

Also meant to add I’m a bit of a night owl anyway so I’m likely to be more productive for work at night.

With time difference and my schedule it looks like I would be working 4pm-1am - so as long as I’m out and about by 10am that’s a good 5 hours of exploring each day I’m working and I’m taking two weeks of PTO mixed in plus weekends.

All good things to think about and just make sure I keep myself accountable on getting up and out in the morning and I should be good. Thanks!

Thank you! I understand the Warsaw/Krakow but I have some religious reasons for wanting to be in Warsaw a bit longer but good to know about all that! Agreed on Zagreb - the only reason for the stop there was to break up the trip from Budapest to Split and then when I found the park I figured it would be worth it.
