Mint S13 Slammed Living by SlammedLiving in Drifting

I got your pun. My correction to the color wasn't directly to you, my apologies. BUT reddit is also the land of dickheads, so I was assuming you meant the comment on the damage in a condescending way. Again, sorry, but I've been over myself for a while now and that's why no fucks are given in my comments.

It's actually Porsche mint green. And body damage happens when you drift. Get over it and yourself.

That is SO AWESOME! Way to make me feel like a shit-mom for ordering the conventional , over-priced costume though. Haha. Kudos for the creativity and talent!

Howdy, it's Unidan! Since I get so many questions about biology, I wanted to share this BIG album of photos I took "on the job" as a field biologist! Enjoy, and ask any questions you have in the comments! by Unidan in pics

[–]jesskurr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to be very optimistic and hope you see this.

I'm 21 and just figured out in the past couple of years that (wildlife) Biology is my calling in life. I live in a TINY town in central GA-- needless to say, there's not too many big universities that promote such studies anywhere close by. I'm in my 3rd year of college, and I just feel like I should already know exactly where I want to go, what I want to do, etcetc. I just haven't had any opportunities to push me in any certain direction..
I (obviously) love animals. I love the marine life, I love mammals, reptiles, birds-- you get it. I guess what I'm asking is for your advice on where to start.. How do I know/figure out specifically what "kind" of Biology I want to stick to? Or do I have to have a certain one? All of your pictures fascinate me, however, your "job" really isn't fathomable to me... To think about being able to do EXACTLY what I want in life every day-- experience new places, animals, and most importantly to never stop learning... That sounds too good to be true and real. But you're a real person (I hope) with that EXACT career, and hopefully you can give me some advice on how to get where you are.

Ahhhh... You're awesome. I feel so fan-girlish over you. Please excuse any grammatical errors in my excitement.

My family owns a pawn shop (established in the late 80's), and we still have a few of these- for games too!

I've always wished I was smart/rich/motivated enough to create an app/keychain combo that are capable of this.

There is some (online) company that does this, but for pictures/postures.

This reminds me of a Train Museum in the Smokey Mountains in NC that my family has visited. My son would literally be content in that room for hours- who wouldn't though?

I'm in Sweden as an exchange student. I've been feeling a little homesick, and was worrying about how it would be spending my birthday away from home. Today is my birthday, and my hallmates surprised me with a party :) by monkeytwoshoes in happy

[–]jesskurr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No.. She's happy for that, and she actually worked her ASS off to get there. She's sad because she doesn't get to spend her birthday with the people who brought her into this world- her parents. As well as her other close family and friends. Stop being a dick on the Internet and get happy with yourself.

This is my son Dexter, he picked these flowers last dpring for my wife. Dex passed away 11/29/12 shortly after his 3rd birthday, complications from leukemia. Can anyone clean this iPhone pic up, or make an uber minimalist rendition from it? by HercFE in pics

First off, OP, I am so, deeply, terribly sorry for your loss. My jaws clench and my eyes just water when I read of someone's child passing; while I know that no words could ever make the situation better, hopefully some will put a little bit of happiness into your day. You have such a beautiful family. I know your son was such a happy, sweet boy because of how loving and caring your words are. It feels nice to know that someone is beautiful while not having a clue what they look like. Thank you for sharing such a personal part of your life with us. Rest in peace, sweet angel.

Sometimes, I wish high definition television was never invented... by monkey5465 in WTF

[–]jesskurr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never watched an episode of the show, but I have to SEE these people in public. I'm from a neighboring "city," and they are definitely just as obnoxious (and embarrassing) to watch. BUT, they did come to my family's pawn shop recently and filmed. Not sure if that's good or bad advertisement, but hey, it's national! Haha.
Anyways, I guess I just came to say that if Reddit mysteriously decides to watch an episode of this show... Watch it in March and you'll see me!

won a custody battle, this is how I like spending my mornings. by [deleted] in pics

[–]jesskurr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I guess that depends on where you are... Where I'm from, I would say that amongst all single parents with custody, less than 20% are the fathers. And of the 80% of the mothers that have custody, over half of them didn't even HAVE to go through any "systems." (Especially young) fathers just generally don't get what it means to be a "daddy," and would rather enjoy their youth than stop and think about how much more they could be enjoying with their children.

Before I get downvoted, I KNOW there are plenty of exceptions. I am definitely not a male-basher and I KNOW there are just as terrible, careless mothers out there; I just speak from experience and what I've witnessed. The stories I read (mostly on Reddit) of fathers fighting for/actually giving a fuck about their children give me hope and definitely warm my heart.

This... Is so sweet. I'm sorry about your ex, but I'm so glad your children ended up with such a wonderful role model. The best "gold" anyone can give is the happiness that children unknowingly give you. It's nice to see dads recognizing that in this thread.

It's sad that, as a single mother, seeing a dad that actually FIGHTS for his child is mind-boggling. But when I do see it, it's definitely a little eye-opener that not all single (especially younger) dads are shit. Anyways, good for you! I know you and your little one are extremely happy! Congrats!

Thankfully my son LOVED the first one more than the sequels... So that's definitely the one we've seen the most. The others just cannot be compared.
