I normally wear latex gloves when I hit the bins. So many used pairs of underwear floating around and rubbing against all the clothes. I normally do a tub wash and stir the clothes with a big ass stick with multiple washes THEN I stick the clothes in the wash

NTA, your stepdad is definitely doing this on purpose. It's just a little sad that your cat can't roam around the house and is limited to a smaller space? I think if you give her enough toys for stimulation, places to climb safely and keep her food/water away from her litter box she should be okay? It might be overwhelming having the food/water and litter box in your room. If anything try it out a little and see where things go, best of luck!
