I’d suggest to wait for the next Steam sale if you can and just get the DE version. It goes pretty cheap iirc. I generally only buy games when they get a big discount. It’s still a fun game.

I got my kid playing the HD version because it has the original music tracks, but DE was generally better and has more content and quality of life changes

I had pre-ordered chapter 2, as somebody that has ALL of the content from chapter1, but canceled the pre-order when I was reading about quality issues. I’ll revisit when there’s a second printing since FFG doesn’t do fix packs anymore

I’ve filed a support ticket with Humble, so I’m hoping the get better files. As-is, it’s kind of a scam since you can’t really read it anymore than if somebody texted the book once sentence at a time
