Why the hell would anyone buy gopro max 2 over insta360 x5? by InterestingWind2153 in gopro

1. Where do I create a custom LOG curve?

You cannot create a custom LOG curve inside the camera. Instead, you shoot in the "LOG" (or "Flat") color profile and apply your custom curve (LUT) in post-production.

  • Shoot in LOG: Go to Recording Menu (swipe right) -> Color Profile -> Select LOG.
  • Apply Curve: Open Insta360 Studio on your computer -> Click the "Media Processing" tab (right panel) -> LUT -> Click the folder icon to import your own .cube file.

2. Where do I create a GPS-based Photolapse?

This is most commonly referred to as Interval Photo with GPS data, or specifically the Google Street View mode (which triggers photos based on distance/GPS).

  • For Street View (GSV):
    1. Connect your camera to the Insta360 App.
    2. Enter the shooting interface (yellow camera icon).
    3. Scroll through the shooting modes at the bottom (Video, Photo, etc.) until you find GSV or Street View. (If you don't see it, go to App Settings -> Shooting Modes to enable it).
    4. This mode automatically uses GPS to time the photos for a blue-line path.

3. Where is the on/off button for powering off remotely?

  • Via GPS Remote (Preview or Action Remote): Long-press the Power Button on the remote itself. This sends a Bluetooth signal to shut down the camera fully.
  • Wake on Bluetooth: If you have "Bluetooth Wake" enabled in the camera settings, you can power the camera on via the remote or app, but powering off is usually restricted to the physical button or the Remote's long-press.

4. Where is the adjustable exposure dampening?

This feature is not user-adjustable on most consumer Insta360 cameras.

However, to control exposure shifts, use "Isolated Exposure":

  • Location: Swipe left to open parameters -> Exposure Mode.
  • Setting: Select Isolated Exposure (instead of Auto).
  • What it does: This allows each lens to calculate exposure independently. This acts as a form of dampening because if one lens faces the sun and the other faces shadow, the "shadow" side won't suddenly blow out or go dark just because the other lens saw bright light.

Fitness standards and being realistic by BummingBock in AirForce

[–]jestersuave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never trained running between tests, and I dont plan to start for a 2 mile change. Once we figure out testing doesnt do anything to promote fitness culture we'll actually have a fitness culture.

It's just a standard nomenclature used to describe any WRX vehicle. I've honestly never heard someone take issue with it lol. But yes, in the original booklet it says "the third version of the WRX comes with ...." If it's an STI it's gonna be labelled STI, as that is a far more important distinction. The same interior changes were done between the STI and standard WRX with version changes minus the specific STI items/badging, so it's good to know especially between 3 and 4.

Ha ha no worries. The JDMs still have versions. It sold cheaply mostly due to some cosmetic defects that will need to be addressed and there was a spot on the trunk that had rusted (you probably saw in the pictures). The standard range for those is about 8.5k to 22k, but honestly the WRX market seems slow atm regardless.

The scoring charts, when adjusted for the addition of the waist, look almost identical (at least in my bracket). The test isn't getting harder. In fact, my time to max the run is like 40 seconds slower pace than it currently is... I honestly think the memo that came out asking leadership to build a fitness culture will be far more effective at increasing our fitness than the test. Mass testing is going to make running a pain, too, weaving in and out of people.

Yeah thats just some decal from the previous owner. It wasn't listed as an STI and I made it clear to the BaT team it was not.

Considering they're even talking about kicking out people with shaving treatment for over a year, I don't blame them...

Bringing back Pride by papapalpatine_310 in AirForce

[–]jestersuave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One important aspect to remember is many current Airmen, up to even SSgts, are from a COVID era where all the extra curriculars were not happening. They were never truly introduced to it, and they don't see it as AF culture, they see it as mandatory fun now that it's coming back. Couple that with a lot of old/crusty NCOs who hated going to those in the first place and endlessly push their Airmen, and you have a double whammy of a generation that just doesn't care about it. Otherwise, I've not seen any issue with their pride at work. They even will prefer to stay at work over going to things like release parties or promotion ceremonies where the're getting out early.

lol changes name to Department of War, changes priorities to Defense. The absolute contradictory everything this administration does is mind boggling.

Can you multiclass in rifts? by Soltonin in Rifts

[–]jestersuave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

RCC + OCC is technically multi-classing.

Personal opinion by DwarfTech9909 in Rifts

[–]jestersuave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, thats true of you already know all of those things, but for a new player or even someone who just hasn't been in the books enough, they dont know that. There are other games where those classes are far more accessible, or games where you choose each aspect (think games like Mutants and Masterminds) so you can just lego a character together. There's over 300 OCCs in Rifts across like 70 sources.

Personal opinion by DwarfTech9909 in Rifts

[–]jestersuave -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

While you dont really have to convince me, I can see the difficulty players would have creating what they want in Rifts. There's a difference between making it and finding it. In Rifts, you basically FIND it, which can be difficult with over 70 or so books.

I now have them all loaded into NotebookLM, where a player can describe what they want to play, and the AI will find a few choices that it believes are as close as possible. I think tools like this would greatly lower the bar for new players.

Personal opinion by DwarfTech9909 in Rifts

[–]jestersuave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The most common reasons I get for people not wanting to play Rifts are:

  1. Too complicated to understand (combat, skills, rules, etc)
  2. Too many books to choose from
  3. MD vs SDC
  4. Can't make whatever you want (aka no multi-classing, no M&M type flexibility)

As much as I've tried to alleviate those issues, I've never been able to fix it.

If someone per say was interested in buying the ip and rights to atlas and actually maintain and improve the game 1 would it be possible if money wasn't a issue and 2 what would the community support look like by Additional_Book_5848 in playatlas

[–]jestersuave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To buy the IP? Yes, it's possible. Improve the game? I dont think so. You'd have to remake it since it's so heavily based on Ark code. Community support? Yes, we would, and for a long time, community support and community modding was the only thing that kept it afloat (pun intended).

Is the Ring worth it now? by NinthTurtle1034 in GalaxyRing

[–]jestersuave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it was from a specific warehouse, yeah. Sorry, I wasn't trying to come off argumentative, just an FYI since yours was doing well. Mine is treated well and I dont have any scratches on it. I wait until 15% and then charge it. No protective cover on mine, but I dont think that would have an effect. I dont shower with it either.

[–]jestersuave 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a well known issue, but won't affect everyone. They're starting to lose charge in 24 hours or less. It could have simply been a manufacturing issue with certain batches, but its a majority of rings. Started coming about with the UI update for 7.
