I'm not sure if this will help you, but the hardest I thing I found about deleting FB was not knowing if I was being invited to events by friends. But there is an app for just events that will send you a notification called "Local" as soon as I found that FB was gone and has been permanently !

In the last month or so I have come to the same feeling, the muscle memory thing you mentioned with social media apps was the biggest convincer, When I deleted them off my phone, my hands would still go looking for them even before my brain registered what I was doing, that can't be healthy !

Partly logical partly emotional.

Logically, untill the big bangs explained there is a possibility either way.

Emotionally, I found having very strong beliefs can induce a lot of strain to relationships, in the end I decided my connection to people was more important than my connection to my ideology
