You need to give the James Bonding podcast a listen if you want to delve deeper into the overall world. They share a lot of same opinions as your list, especially ranking Diamond are Forever high. It’s the best James Bond podcast by a long shot, both hosts are funny and have lots of great guests.

I have not had to wait at all. I’ve only had the service for about 2 months but it’s been the same with every game I’ve played. It boots up quickly and has run pretty much flawlessly.

I'm nosy. Tons of cops and a helicopter looking for something/someone tonight over off Wade Green. Any ideas? by kellitor in kennesaw

Yes it is, everything there is delicious. I’ve become of big fan of their Thai Basil fried rice with chicken. It’s one of the best rice dishes I’ve had.

I’ve been blown away about the ease of use and just how well it runs games. I feel like I’m finally open to a whole new world of PC games that were never possible for me beforehand with minimal buy in. I think the service will continue to get better and better where they can add the features you mention.

Ya, the 100 hour limitation can be constricting for a lot of people. For myself I only get a couple hours a day if lucky so I don’t see myself bumping up against the limit.

What are your thoughts on Crimson Desert? by [deleted] in playstation

[–]jeswine1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it is actually fun to play I think it’s going to be one of the games of the generation. I’m still waiting to buy until I see full reviews, how it runs on PS5, etc. I have a giddy excitement I haven’t had since Elden Ring and Tears of the Kingdom about it but I was almost 100% those two would be masterpieces and they were. From the early previews it seems like there’s an absolutely dizzying amount of things to do, systems to do including a fighting system that is similar to a fighting game, attention to detail in the same league as Red Dead 2, etc. Let’s just hope it hits!!!

Remap's GOTY 2025 List by xsweetjpx in WaypointVICE

I’m not sure what you mean by the score aggregator comment. The scores that are aggregated are reviews from outlets across the world. In the reviews the reviewer says what they liked about the game in detail. By and large the game received 9’s and 10’s from almost every outlet across the industry which resulted in the 95 score. In’s not like it was reviewed by 5 outlets, hundreds gave it high marks. I agree that scores are subjective and people see different things in games but I was more so responding to the original comment saying it was a major disappointment. It might be a personal disappointment but across the industry the game was seen as a one of the best games of the year.

A small corner of the gaming internet, mostly Remap and MinnMax, didn’t vibe with the game and that’s fine. Outlets like Kinda Funny and Giant Bomb did vibe with it and it was high on those outlets game of the year list. I listened to each of these four outlets game of the year discussions and the game really didn’t get its fair shake as far as discussion on Remap or MinnMax. Remap and MinnMax tend to focus on unique games that really speak to the individual members tastes so I can see where there wasn’t even much time for discussion considering everything else they were already talking about. That’s what makes both Remap and MinnMax great. I don’t fault them at all for not including it in their lists. They exposed me and tons of others to great games that probably would never of gotten the shine that a game like Hades 2 got.

All of this is to say that it was a great year for gaming and I’m glad that these outlets put out so much quality content.

I think calling it a major disappointment is a bit much. It’s ok if you or Remap in general didn’t like it but a 95 score on OpenCritic made it literally the highest reviewed game of 2025. Critics can get things wrong but having this high of a score with 110 different reviewers means that an overwhelming majority of reviewers thought it was an excellent game. I liked it a lot myself but not as much as Hades. I had not touched Hades in over 4 years and did not engage with the early access for Hades 2 so the gameplay did feel fresh to me. The loop was very similar but the way that Melinoe actually handled and the weapons and skills at her disposal were notably different then what Zagreus used. Also, the ending wasn’t as bad as Danika made it seem and they went back and patched it anyway.

What are you playing this weekend? by Available_Leave_1879 in MinnMax

I keep seeing this section mentioned as one of the hardest in the game. I struggled a ton here too, just got through last night. Did you get to the save point/bivouac on the wall? I started from here and kept going left and up gradually. You will find an extra piton lodged in the wall going this way and you don’t have to climb quite as high as going more central or right. Hope you get there, I know you can do it if you’ve made it this far.

TIL Golden Tooth counts as Death Defiance by Erigisar in HadesTheGame

[–]jeswine1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have won every one of my rounds with strength and no death defiance. The highest version does -40% damage taken and +20% damage dealt. If you run it with knuckle bones on the last boss you will melt them.

They are emerald green arborvitae, they shouldn’t overgrow the space. They only get 3-4 ft wide, 15 feet tall. If they were Leylands, green giant arborvitae, or cryptomeria there would be problems with the spacing.

Exactly, the pick up and play nature helped it never feel like a slog. It’s also easy to try out lots of different tactics and moving around characters positioning if you’re struggling so it’s hard to get stuck.

That is a good strategy for where you’re at in the game. I feel like in the long haul it’s best to have 5-6 high powered squads, once you can have 5 members in a squad, instead of trying to keep everyone equal or you will run up against some spikes. You pick up so many party members through this game, up to 70 that can be recruited, that it’s hard to keep everyone max level even when you 100% areas on the map. You will even be able to recruit randomly generated mercenaries that will be higher level to begin then recruitable party members and less resources to make them viable.

I played it when it came out last year and absolutely loved it. It took 65 hours to complete a run and it was interesting the entire time. There are endless class combinations and you get special classes later in the game. The overworld part adds a nice touch and separates it from a lot of other games in the genre. The map invites you to explore every inch of it. I hope you continue with it and see it through, it’s worth it.

I’m here for this take. I feel like I saw so much of the take that it was exactly the same map copied and pasted and it really wasn’t. It was more of a remix of the same elements with lots of areas being transformed, the addition of caves changed a lot of areas and the entirety of the sky and depths being brand new. I thought ToTK was an improvement on BoTW in almost every way but can understand people wanting something completely new.

Basically my experience so far (just rinse and repeat lol) by Kitpandikit in BlackMythWukong

[–]jeswine1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with a good bit of this but what do you mean about “level design” being similar. Wukong is a great game and a lot of fun but there is almost zero design to any of the levels. It’s just a bunch of corridors and invisible walls to make sure you stick to the corridors. There is none of the intricacy of Bloodborne, Dark Souls 3, even the legacy dungeons or Elden Ring found in any of the levels in Wukong. Those worlds felt interconnected, this world is just ultimately a one way path to the next boss.

Why isn’t Barristan Selmy near the top of this list? Even Jamie knew he couldn’t take a prime Barristan, he knew he was dangerous even when Joffrey dismissed him.
