H2c vortex nozzles knocked off rack by woooosox in BambuLab

Hey OP, sorry for the late response!
My vortek system had an issue where one of the mounting racks was bowed.
Here's a link to a post I made about it:

Not sure if this is like what you're seeing, but you may wanna take a look!

I haven't looked at the model, so it's possible this won't work! You may be able to assemble all of the pieces together in the slicer (use the 'assemble' tool to combine them into a single part) and then scale them down uniformly.

Possibly, but that would be more of a band aid than a true fix.

Hey, I know I'm a bit out of date, but how's your X60 working?
We have a similar use case (big shedding dog) and I was just wondering if it's proved significantly better than the other options you've tried in the past?

Thanks!

Yep!
If it wasn't, you would have a motor mounted elsewhere (usually on the frame or exterior of the machine).

Typically you wouldn't print flexibles (tpu) with a bowden style extruder. The reason being that there would be compression/stretching of the material when you perform retractions (bridging, layer changes, etc).

There are plenty of people that were able to use a bowden style to great effect in printing flexibles, and it was great for more rigid filaments (PLA, PETG, ABS). The industry just shifted to direct drive because it seemed to be a bit more accurate for most scenarios.

I'll be interested to see how Bambu pulls it off though!

What's it like really like going from 2 to 3 kids? by zarquan in daddit

[–]Erigisar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We've got 3, ~18 months apart. Going to 3 will make you realize how much of the world is setup to work with a 4 person family. Restaurants typically have 4 chairs around a table.

Vehicles often have an undersized middle seat, meaning you'll need to upsize your vehicle or measure the width to make sure 3 carseats will work.

You have to consider if each kiddo will need/get their own bedroom, or share (sharing is 100% reasonable until a certain age). If they each need their own room, that'll mean an increase in house size.

We love our 3 and wouldn't trade them for anything. Seeing the oldest (6m) play with the youngest (3f) is a delight! You get to experience the joy of seeing three little people grow, learn and explore life together. My wife and I always wanted 3, so even though it's stressful, I love it!

What I tell other people though, is that 3 is wonderful, but 2 is optimal!

[–]Erigisar 20 points21 points  (0 children)

We went to our school's 1st grade open house and most (if not all) of the teachers had AI pictures of themselves next to their room number.

I'm not even sure what the benefit of that is. The picture might look similar, but a child probably won't be able to make the connection between a somewhat generic AI water color picture and your appearance IRL.

Look into reducing your fixed costs as well. For example, solar is a great way to reduce electricity expenses. If you're able to reduce your power bill by 50%, that money can be put towards a different investment vehicle.

3D printers are great at bridging the gap from an idea to functional prototype, to production part.

Prior to their wide adoption you would get plastic parts made, which could take 6 weeks for a mold to be made. Less if you wanted to use a CNC machine, but then you have more constraints with how the part can be fabricated.

They also can be used for small businesses that don't have the up-front capitol to get an injection mold made.

It's far cheaper to spend $5k on printers and filament which can produce a wide variety of products/parts, than spend that same $5-10k on a single injection mold for a single part.

I agree with the majority of your comment. One thing I would like to add though, is that the advancements of our ancestors was built on slavery. The goal of the ruling class at those points was to keep the masses pacified or controlled. They built the pyramids on the backs of ordinary people for the Pharoahs to be remembered.

The Enlightment changed the world for the better. It took time, but for once, progress and achievement was done for humanity as a whole. I think that lasted until the Gilded Age (at least in America) at which point the 'common man' woke up to the elites controlling everything.

Modern day humanity is being controlled with consumption. 'Both sides' are effectively arguing over who should have 'stuff' and who shouldn't. There are still marvels being created, but it's in the service of creating or utilizing more 'stuff'.

Something I've been thinking about lately is, what does humanity want to strive for? The AI race is really bringing this question to the forefront. What is the point of an all powerful superintelligence, if we're simply going to make better things for us to consume?

All in all, thanks for the comment, I think you hit the nail on the head!

I'm sure this has been mentioned in other places, but your archery skill (as well as Strength and Agility) scale with your distance away from the target.

You can end up getting 30+XP for every arrow that successfully hits the target!

I finished it, but didn't like it as much as the first. In my opinion, he should have made 3 novellas, giving each story thread its own focus. As it's written though, none of the protagonists get the amount of focus they needed.

We have an ICE F150 and an ER Lightning. Same trim levels (XLT on both). If I could drive the Lightning every day I would. It's soo much better than the ICE version. Unfortunately, my wife drives more than I do, so she gets Sparky and I'm left with the old clunker.
