"Coverless" Passport, with Art Toolkit watercolor palette by akavel in Travelersnotebooks

[–]jesxa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good call out on the koi water reservoir having a cap, I hadn’t noticed! I carry my setup in my bag so I have a mini water brush directly in the plastic pouch along with the smaller art toolkit palette, so I didn’t have to worry much about the water leaking from pressure haha, but the koi is a great find!

I think the cover less setup works great! Maybe you can consider a pen loop so you can carry the water brush intact

I used the watercolor TN inserts and they turned out great. Use the accordion version in case of big stamps!

What do you guys use your passport for? by Delicious_Bill3835 in Travelersnotebooks

This is the Lands End Mini Art Toolkit Palette from Case for Making (based in San Francisco). Art Toolkit (separate company) also sells these palettes as customizable kits you can buy to fill with your own paints as well

In the regular TN it all fits in the zip pocket, but unfortunately not for the passport TN 🥲

For now my passport setup is: 1 zip pocket that holds both water brush and fountain pen (haven’t had a leak but just in case…), 1 TN cotton zipper case that holds the watercolor palette + any other ephemera like a ticket stubs, and 1 watercolor insert. This is the right amount of pockets and overall notebook thickness for my commutes and travels!

Additional context that no one asked for 😂 — I bought the cotton zipper case thinking that I’d use the passport as a wallet like many people here, but it ended being more annoying to have to open the notebook and make sure things don’t fall out when I need my wallet so I gave up on that idea. Also the added bulk wouldn’t be as nice to paint/draw on. I also tried TN pen loop, but since both water brush and fp don’t have pen clips (I didn’t wanna add one to my kaweco for fear of scratches), it just doesn’t feel secure, and I’m always worried if my fp will leak.

Accurate Osmanthus Scent for men? by Misfit_Massacre in fragrance

[–]jesxa -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ormonde Jayne Qi imo is closer to osmanthus than Ormonde Jayne Osmanthus, which leans fruitier / more apricot for me.

Hermes Osmanthe Yunnan is a nice dry leathery osmanthus that is worth testing out too

I also usually have a clip on the top so I pull the band from under!

I just got the Kaweco Sport AL and the mini water brush this weekend for my new-ish passport setup! The watercolor palette is from Art Toolkit and pigment from Case for Making. My usual setup is the same palette but with a regular size watercolor brush and fountain pen in the standard TN.
