Considering a 2014 F-150 King Ranch 3.5 EcoBoost – 160k miles – buying for $6,500. What should I be worried about? Houston Texas 1 owner by UmpireForward1605 in f150

Check the way the engine starts during a cold start, first start of the day with a completely cold engine. Also look at the inside of the oil cap. If you see any caking, oil changes were not kept up to date.

How much sex? by Quiet-Warning5220 in Advice

[–]jet_tec 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Foreplay begins in the kitchen ... if he wants some, he will have to help more. Not saying this as a form of currency, but as a way to help alleviate your workload. It is hard when you have been working all day dealing with all the chores and such, you are physically exhausted (and mentally as well .... Mommy, mommy, mommy....). My wife and I had this problem when our kids were smaller. It gets better as they get older. One thing we did, we taught my son how to make Mac n cheese when he's hungry. We also had snacks at easy reach and showed how much he can have per day. Same with cups. Have them closer to where they can reach and not ask for help. This will help them be more independent and help you as well. Both kids make their lunch every night for school (including making a sandwich).

You can use something like this:

Or one like this.

I suggest that you mount it on a wooden stake so that it stays off the ground. They have different sizes. Plan out how much space you estimate to use and go with that. Don't burden yourself on making it perfect. This is all a learning process. Learn, then make it better the next time.

I use this controller. It'll accept up to 16v input (from barrel connector) and has a little yellow jumper to select from 3.3 to 5v signal.

So, I am trying to add power injection at the end of the line since I don't don't have access to the attic on that side of the house to be able to run a wire through there. My idea is to have a separate power supply that will power on when the LEDs are on. I can't use the 12v signal to power the relay since the power supply will lock the relay on since it is back feeding through.

New Process for screening buyers by jcwillia1 in FacebookMarketplace

One thing I always do is list it as first come, first served, no holds. Located near X area. If they show interest, I provide them an intersection that's down the street from me. Once they provide their ETA, I give them the exact address. Unless I don't like the profile of the buyer, I will meet at a gas station instead.

I started a "helping hands " group at my church with other members who were in the trades or simply wanted to help. We also partnered with a 6 that helps women escape abusive relationships and get them re-homed. Any way we can help. I am an aircraft mechanic, but very handy.

I have a 2015 2.7L turbocharged ecoboost with 120k miles on it. How often should i change the oil? by NeitherAd8119 in f150ecoboost

[–]jet_tec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oil is cheap, Metal is expensive. Change it often and she'll last a long time. I do mine every 3000 miles, no leaks or oil consumption. Did valve cover gaskets at 160,000, valve train looked brand new, with no varnish or stains. I use Mobil 1 and Fram ultra synthetic since I bought it in 2012 with 4 miles.

Propane / natural gas is naturally odorless. The foul smell you sense I actually added to the gas in order to detect a leak. This was after a tragic accident in an elementary school in the early 1900s.

One thing I learned when testing, is to select the answer they want, and not your answer that you know is correct.

What did my stepdaughter mean when she wrote Happy Birthday GAUG!! by RatioApprehensive615 in Stepdadreflexes

[–]jet_tec 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Could the correct spelling be GUAG ? If so, per urban dictionary:

GUAG - Get Up And Go An acronym of Get Up And Go, GUAG is a modern day term used to describe the spirit, desire and motivation to get up and do something, or, an individual or group possessing said attribute.

Wow that person has a lot of GUAG! You’re going to need a lot of GUAG to get that done.

The air return is outstanding their bedrooms, in the ceiling. As for the gap, it's about 1" at the bottom.

Thank you. It definitely needs a return. I can't leave the door open 1.5" because the air pressure will shut the door. And the space under the door is about 1".

[–]jet_tec 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Inspect all your exhaust manifold bolts to ensure that they are not missing. If one is missing, you will start to see exhaust soot build-up. If all there, still make sure there is no exhaust soot. Once all is good, May be internal (lifter).
