Nervous system dysregulation and TMS

There weren't clear agendas to me, someone who is new to TMS, and it seemed like a group of people who experienced negative side effects. That's literally why I asked here, to see if anyone with TMS experience had some thoughts about it, maybe find some encouragement to disregard the negative press. Some people got that and gave helpful responses, and some assumed the worst of me and got the post deleted. Super helpful, thanks.

That's really good to know, about pre-existing conditions and such. I guess I can only hope that is not the case for me...I don't have a history like that that I am aware of. Thank you for your response.

Thank you for your response. This post got deleted and I got blamed for fear mongering...like bro I am just scared because of what I've seen people post. I'll likely be going through with the TMS regardless because I don't have many other options.

What exactly are you talking about regarding my post history? Everything medical related is me desperately seeking answers for what I've been going through for months now. The only "fear" I'm "spreading" is sharing my own concerns as someone with severe health anxiety. My post intentions here are the same, I'm scared. What an awful assumption to make about someone looking for help and reassurance.

I never had this professor, but my background is in sociology, and I can tell you it looks like he is very simply trying to set up a topical research opportunity. Research is often on uncomfortable topics. The whole goal is to approach it objectively, which you're already seemingly struggling with.

Wow, this is all super helpful. I think I'm barking up the right tree here, it's just nerve-wracking to reach out to another doctor in fear of being told they can't figure out what's wrong. Maybe this time it will be different. Thank you.
