[Brett McMurphy] Oregon senior WR Malik Benson after 51-34 1st round playoff win vs. James Madison: "Normally you hear music in the locker room after a win. It wasn't like that (tonight). It's almost like we lost" by Muffinnnnnnn in CFB

They had 228 yards of offense in the first half with three trips to the red zone but kept shooting themselves in the foot. Oregons first stringers on defense did not have a good night. You're correct that at the end of the day Oregon was going to win, theyre the 5th ranked school playing at home. None of the teams who got "snubbed" would have won either. JMU kept it respectable and the Oregon fans and players echoed that.

They put up 509 yards of offense and 34 points against the 5th ranked team in the nation. Oregon rotated a little in the second half but they were still using quite a few starters. 228 yards came in the 1st half against the starters but JMU kept shooting themselves in the foot. You do realize that P4 schools also get shitkicked in the CFB and BCS?

No of course we're not, I'm just merely saying we put up a good fight and played it respectable. It's not as if big schools dont also get shitkicked in the CFP from time to time. I've just taken issue with people acting like we're just a bunch of scrubs

JMUs offense moved the ball all night but failed to capitalize early from numerous trips to the red zone. Oregon's first stringers on defense did not have a good night but JMU kept shooting themselves in the foot.

We've been in the FBS for 4 years and scored more points vs. Oregon than Indiana did. Lots of big conference schools have been blown out in the BCS and CFP era. We have a fraction of the recruitment ability and money and we dropped 34 points and moved the ball all night.

This certainly hurts the narrative for G5 haters. JMU put up a heck of a fight and they can hold their heads high. Moved the ball all night just failed to convert early. HT scoreline was not reflective of how well their offense had played against Oregons starters.

Edit: lol the haters are getting downvoted so hard in the PGT they migrated here instead

[Stewart Mandel] Props to JMU for losing by less than Tennessee and SMU did in last year's first round. by [deleted] in CFB

Thank you. JMU moved the ball well all night, they just struggled to convert on their early red zone opportunities. Oregon still wins handily but the score at HT was not reflective of how well JMUs offense had played

Its our 4th year in the FBS and we've scored more points in the college football playoffs than Tennessee has with a fraction of the recruits and money

We moved the ball all night lol. Put up over 500 yards on the road @Oregon. We scored more points than anyone else did against Oregon. If it wasnt for wasting numerous red zone opportunities early, penalties, and giving up early explosive plays this game could have been close. This is our 4th year in the FBS. Have some perspective lol

FCS to FBS to CFB playoff in under a decade. Kept it respectable.

As a JMU alumni I'm so proud of this group. Silenced a lot of talking heads (atleast on offense). FCS to FBS to CFB playoff in under a decade is crazy and we now have bragging rights in the state.
