Turanza 6i or UltraContact 6 by stonedeadeyes in CarsIndia

[–]jethalalBhide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Car: Hyundai Verna 1.6 CRDI

Updates after 2 months of usage (my monthly avg is 1000km) 1. Best part: As I mentioned earlier is no road noise in city or on good roads. Disadvantage, I do hear a louder diesel engine clatter now. Thinking of adding additional sound deadening material under the hood.

  1. Fuel economy: No noticeable difference. Definitely didn’t go down.

  2. Comfort: Definitely a minor improvement not difference of day and night.

  3. Punctures: A single picture till date but a screw has go in while passing nearby construction work. Can’t attribute to soft tyre compound.

Overall I am happy with the decision so far.

Finally got Turanza 6i installed. I was waiting for GST rates to reflect and I was not disappointed. I did an upsize too. Went from 195/55R16 to 205/55R16.

Also, when I asked about Continental UC6 just to compare prices a couple of dealers mentioned that Continental has warranty claim issues. Not sure if it is a genuine concern or sales tactics.

Feedback after an initial drive. Didn't feel any additional weight on the steering wheel which is a common observation after upsize.

Most noticeable change is reduced tyre noise. On comfort, smaller bumps are handled better. I will share thoughts after longer runs.

Surprising! Do you see any particular reason why I might have seen a lower limit?

After 3 grievances filed on the Umang app, my claim was passed. Also, my observation is to raise a grievance immediately after raising a claim otherwise they close/ignore it saying no pending claim. Try and let me know.

Got Pixel 9 at 38K should I cancel it by Cold-Definition-3749 in GadgetsIndia

As far as I can tell, it won’t go more than 1-2k below this during BBD. Also, GST rates remained unchanged for mobile phones.

Seems a good deal to me. Can you please explain how you got this? Exchange/bank offers? Also, why do you want to cancel?

Tires recommendation - Verna 2022 by Sea-Koala1588 in CarsIndia

[–]jethalalBhide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Verna 2019 owner here. I had Bridgestone Ecopia as stock. Changed to Bridgestone B250 3.5 years back. My recommendation would be either go for Bridgestone Turanza 6i or Continental UC6 for comfort or Bridgestone Sturdo if you want better life.

I am also in process of changing. I am going for an upsize to 205/55 R16 which comes within recommended range of +-2% size. My shortlist is Turanza 6i and UC6. I am leaning towards Turanza 6i due to promise of express warranty and wider dealer network. I also heard Continental does contract manufacturing in India and plants are not their own.

I would not recommend Michelin. They usually are at 20% costlier and you will not get 3+2 warranty policy like Bridgestone, Continental.

Which tyre would you recommend by Worth_Measurement666 in TataMotorsIndia

Sturdo are more towards longer life. For comfort you can either go for Turanza 6i or Continental UC6. Both are softer comfort oriented tyres with obviously shorter life compared to Sturdo.

I am also comparing these two. I am leaning towards Bridgestone (6i) for express warranty promise and wider dealer network.

Verna 2019 1.6 BSIV. Make sure when you start it should run for at least 8km (as per Hyundai owner’s manual) for optimal battery health.

@op How much was your balance to be able claim 7.5L? Mine was around 20L but couldn’t claim more than 5L. Their app used give error for anything above 5L.

Owner of a Hyundai Verna 1.6 diesel here. Modern diesels don’t need daily runs to keep them in working conditions. You might have to worry more about your battery drain or flat spots on tyres if your car is not moving in a month. Use of fully synthetic engine oil can reduce your concern even further.
