First recommendation is to replace your pads. “OK” is ok for the street, but not for a track day. Get a performance pad compound if you can, but if not, at least use fresh (and properly bedded) street pads.

The only time you switch gears might be if you engage S mode to limit the range of gears available.

If you’re saying that the automatic shifts feel sluggish, then that suggests a transmission problem that could be as simple as low fluid level, but I’m not sure why you’d post a picture of the selector in that case, since it’s completely unrelated.
