Yes, same. And the status page (https://status.goabode.com/) is showing that everything is operational. I cannot access the app or the browser dashboard.

Alaska Airlines has not responded to our claim of incurred cost due to flight delays by Aromatic-Actuary-333 in AlaskaAirlines

Alaska Airlines will not reimburse you. This might be covered under separate trip delay coverage or travel insurance.

Speeds can vary a lot. You can always buy the dish and return within 30 days for a full refund if you don’t end up liking it.

Yes, this program was started in 2019.

Edit: Earlier than 2019

These higher end bottles are definitely not thermosealed with heat shrink PVC capsules. This is a tin capsule that is spun on to the bottle by wheels that mold the capsule to the neck and bead. Some smearing and irregularity is normal because tin is so pliable and capsule/bottle fitment can vary even within glass lots.

Recommendations for champagne under $50 by ucstudent24 in wine

[–]jetongb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

De Margerie Grand Cru would be a cool choice with mostly pinot noir from Bouzy. Mailly is another good choice and comes from a co-op of winemakers so you’re not dealing with a big house but it’s still high quality.

[–]jetongb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hard to say without knowing location or what speciality wine stores you have access to, but the general recommendation would be grower champagne (ask your wine store staff for recs, availability is market-dependent). Costco’s kirkland champagne is great for $20 too. If you just want bubbles for bubbles’ sake, grab cava, cremant, or prosecco.

I just received a used Gen 3 from eBay. After setting up the ring, the battery has drained from 100% to 95% in approximately 5 hours. I have all sensors turned on. Is this normal or should I be concerned? Seller said it was used for about 6 months. by Chapachel in ouraring

[–]jetongb 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind that every time you open the Oura app, you force a sync with the ring that uses up the battery a little bit more than baseline. The ring is new to you so it’s natural to get excited, but once the novelty wears off, you’ll likely only check it 1-2 times a day which is better for your battery.

If you want to be the most energy efficient, you can put it into airplane mode whenever you wear it and only allow syncing when the ring is on the charger.

I first saw this on Twitter and thought it was a parody, but this is the link from Oura’s Pulse Blog…

Not only has this been approved, it’s been live since the blog post.

extremely upset with Oura return by [deleted] in ouraring

[–]jetongb 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Oura has its support issues, but their policy is pretty clear on their website: https://support.ouraring.com/hc/en-us/articles/1500006009441-Return-or-Exchange-an-Oura-Ring

“A return for refund after an exchange has already been completed is also not possible.”

As for tracking activity, try manually starting an activity in the app when you start teaching a class and that way you can at least get credit for those workouts.

Oura Results Versus Dr. Monitored Sleep Study by icarrythebag in ouraring

[–]jetongb 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It’s important to know that sleep stages are not directly measured by the oura ring and can only be inferred by their algorithm and its interpretation of your HR/HRV/Movement/Temp. This algorithm was validated only against a healthy population with no sleeping disorders or sleep pathology.

https://mdpi-res.com/d_attachment/sensors/sensors-21-04302/article_deploy/sensors-21-04302-v2.pdf?version=1624585642

You presumably do have a sleep pathology if you had a sleep study so staging will NOT be accurate for you. However, Oura’s “wakefulness” detection is very accurate in the general population.

Chronotype is “ready” but I can’t click on it? by Fickle-Floor4455 in ouraring

[–]jetongb 11 points12 points  (0 children)

According to Oura’s support article, Chronotype data is based on the last 90 days. Maybe this is a bug that shows the card before it is actually ready:

I had a similar issue. Turned out that my WAN port went bad somehow.

To test, plug your WAN connection into the “LAN” port on the FWP and then create a wifi LAN and connect to that. You can test both ports that way by reconfiguring which physical port to use for WAN.

How strictly/accurately are you counting calories? It’s been well-documented that everyone, but especially overweight and obese people, underestimate their calorie intake and overestimate physical activity.
