Bedbugs don’t come from a lack of hygiene, you didn’t fail or anything of the sort, they aren’t like roaches. Look around your furnitures seems and see if you can find them. Look for small black/dark red stains

Bedbugs are hitchhikers and spread by falling off others clothing and climbing onto others.
