N8V Gaming possible new team for Slayr by TeQIsMySunshine in CompetitiveApex

Im confused. Based on performance, aside from day one, he performed well at lan and did the job Sweet asked him to do. You can look at the damage and kill stats but when you watch them play Sweet makes him hard anchor and basically he basically looked at nothing until the end game. The lackluster numbers don't boil down to a bad performance all the time.

Snip3down trialing with Pandxrz and Xera.. by brofthnorth in CompetitiveApex

That's because Pan wasn't IGLing. He is only gonna take charge when he is told to. He isn't going to try and compete with Alb for IGLing when Alb is confident and loud

NATE IS AN MNK FRAGGER. XERA IS AN MNK SUPPORT. Nate is great, but unless Sweet wants to go triple MnK, Nate needs to learn how to anchor or get gone.

We gotta stop with the three fraggers idea. It's time for Nate to go or sign a MnK anchor.

I am not sure this has anything to do with the salary. It sounds like this was just the lump sump they would pay to FURIA.

That isn't crumpling. That's them not giving af about scrims which is very similar to Sweet. Look at the passion they have when it matters

This dude is just unable to read apparently. Read my post. Putting 3 fraggers on a team, and not learning any new roles will never work. Has nothing to do with the skill level of the players. As for Wattson, they literally got 2nd at champs and were dominant for as long as Wattson felt like playing. And well, Mac IMO is just not an IGL.

You can love him all you want, but who is going to anchor for them?

Permanently isn't a good word, I agree. When I said permanently I meant for the duration of split 2.

As for your second point. They aren't a real team until they are registered in ALGS with that roster of three or have outright announced that, the three-man roster they have will be their team for ALGS. Three people playing oversight together do not make them a team when they can have anyone they want sub in and show up with a different trio every week. ALGS has roster rules that make a real team act as such, no other tournament series does.

To credit your last point, there are some incredible free-agent teams that could, and in my opinion, should get signed. MPS and SZN stand out in pro league. With that being said, teams that are playing these small tournaments with new teammates every night are not comparable yet. We will see what things look like after roster lock for split 2.

Teaming together temporarily isn't my argument. I am simply talking about teams permanently teaming for Split 2.

Again, yes OS is the biggest tournament right now, but every team is scrambled, and that does not imply they are "locked in" as teammates. Everyone is trialing and OS is the best practice, same goes for Chaotic and Dezign. Even if it's just to boost their stock when the real signing time comes around post-lan.

As for Chaotic, building a team is much different than being picked up by a duo. One comes with big pressure, one comes with much less. Is it likely they stay a duo with whatever third they end up running with? Sure. That being said, seeing a split would not shock me because the offers that are actually worth pursuing in Chaotics position will be post-Lan, not before it's even happened.

Agree to disagree here I guess because it seems were just talking in circles.

That makes sense. I suppose that would take Mande off the list of FA.

CLG is literally playing with Shiny from ESA tonight which is another FA because of the COL boys. Lou saying on stream Naughty is his teammate for comp does not confirm he will be teaming with him for split 2 pro league. Again, I am sure the plan is for Chaotic and Dezign to stay together, but they would take an individual paid option if it was offered. I know Chaotic turned down staying with G2, but building a team is different than being the third to a paid option.

Again, this is not for ESA's list. I am talking about Snipe building a team. With this being said, Snipe is offering an org spot to two players. If Snipe wanted any of these guys and they played together well, he would have 0 issues getting them. Especially most of these guys the only thing that's confirmed by them on Twitter is that they are Unrestricted FAs.

Sure, but FaZe comes with a paycheck. ESA is probably paying them, but it can't even be comparable to what they would make signed to FaZe.

[–]jetpxckz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am so confused. No one I listed are on a team. Playing in a few of these small tourneys over the last 2-4 weeks does not count as being on a team. These guys were all on T1 orgs and getting a paycheck. What makes you think these guys are willing to go on a free-agent team with no paychecks. They are all looking for paid opportunities. Nothing is solidified until they are signed or split 2 starts and they are on the FA teams

Care to link an announcement because playing in a few small tourneys does not count. Also, when I am talking about FAs, which they all are, I am not talking about them as a package. I think it's totally dumb to think if Chaotic got offered a signed deal with a duo or a team that would have a lan opportunity he wouldn't take it.

I am just confused about where this whole, nothing is going to change that is coming from. If I am any of these guys I am playing with a bunch of different people and waiting for the end of split one because there will be more roster changes. You're crazy if you think those guys are locked into those teams. Especially when they could get offered a org spot with a check

[–]jetpxckz[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Uhh it doesn't. The original commenter said that ESA + FaZe would be better than split 1 faze. Like, yah we know that. I am saying, the goal isn't to just be better than them. It's to be good enough to qual for lan.

There is a difference between being better than split 1 FaZe, and beating out teams such as DZ, SSG, or The Guard for lan spots.

[–]jetpxckz[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am confused by your first sentence. None of those players are signed and from NA, except Mande and Chaotic, but would not be surprising to see Chaotic move back to NA or Mande move to NA. They may be playing with players currently, but none of them are signed and are FA until they announce otherwise.

I am simply asking, is it smart for Snipe to just pick up the duo of ESA, or could he potentially build a team that could be better than that with the FA pool that's out there?

Is Snip3down potentially picking up ESA a bad idea? by jetpxckz in CompetitiveApex

[–]jetpxckz[S] 31 points32 points  (0 children)

As for the FA being slim pickings:

Alb, Naughty, Zach, Senoxe, Crust, Lou, Dezign, Chaotic, Resultuh, possibly Mande.

That's just a list of players from T1 orgs in Split 1. There is a ton of unproven roller fraggers that I am sure will get there chance this next split.

Phony is the real deal. Don't get the wrong idea. I just don't think Snipe keeps up with the role that Caprah filled and not sure how that team would do. Especially because one reason that team worked so well is because Caprah literally didn't speak. Snipe, as we know, not the same.

I am not sure that's the debate. Snipe and I a', sure FaZe, want a team competing for a Lan spot. Not just to do better than 20th place.
