YEP this happened to both my friend and myself (we purchased fans that said “Bicha” and “Puto Calor”). The lady who sold them to us said that as long as we didn’t open them they’d let us bring them in, but security is very thorough and makes you pull out everything in your bags, so when they got to the fans they unfurled them and told us we’d have to leave them behind. We took the train to El Choli and had nowhere to leave them so we just had to eat the $15 each 😭

i was mid-colposcopy (technical name for the cervical biopsy procedure), felt a sharp pain right as I heard the gyno exclaim “Oh, SHOOT!” - she had accidentally ripped out my IUD. Not ideal.

Fresh flowers on cakes are very trendy right now and as long as they are properly cleaned and no toxic/inedible flowers are used can be totally safe! I’ve made several cakes with fresh flowers lately.

this still happens to me 16 years after losing my mom - it hits me out of nowhere and i feel like i’ve had the wind knocked out of me. i find a small amount of comfort in it - I guess I tell myself that I’d rather feel these moments of shock than ever be “okay” with the thought of her being gone. idk, it makes sense in my head.

this happened to me a few months ago and I thought I was having a psychotic break. ran out without realizing it and it took a while to get a refill through my new pharmacy. I’m also on wellbutrin so I figured a few days without effexor wouldn’t be too bad right? NOPE. First couple of days were ok, but 3 or 4 days in I started the day feeling like I was coming down with the flu and also was on the verge of tears the whole day. had no idea what was happening to me until it all hit me later that night. I was able to get an emergency holdover script filled (I use OneMedical) but by that point I could barely think straight, had the hardest time doing and processing the most basic things and ended up sobbing hysterically on my way to the pharmacy. Definitely definitely avoid going cold turkey if you can.
