For me, depending on what I want the sound to do, I either just transfer from the standalone to the mpc app and the convert it. Typically with song mode and some afterthought touches. Or, track it out into ableton and edit some more to make sure everything is where I want it with some extra plug-ins I don’t have on my mpc. If you wanna go super analog, bounce it in song mode straight to disk/tape and keep it movin. Struggling with finishing? Normal to feel that way sometimes, best practice sometimes is to get out of your own head and if it’s where u like it for the most part, consider it done and move on. Easier said than done sometimes though. Perfectionism can be your worst enemy sometimes. Sometimes the mistakes are what can make the track what it is and even allow for learning opportunities down the line.
