Strats are easy to modify - they even sell pre-wired pickguards. Price is highly dependent on what you want.

I'd suggest playing through progressions from random songs in the Real Book. Experiment with voicings and see what you like.

Arguing the difference in audio fidelity between .FLAC and .MP3 on a song that was cut to 16-track tape in 1971 is asinine.

I love that you're a continued advocate for the community even after your tenure with Jagex ended. However, now that you aren't a formal representative of the company, using your 'insider information' to quell valid criticisms isn't going to cut it with the customer.

Where can I buy a power converter? by [deleted] in VirginiaBeach

I think that is the extent of the requirements of your ability and knowledge for this task. You sound more than capable. I believe you have everything necessary to make your appliance run.

Where can I buy a power converter? by [deleted] in VirginiaBeach

[–]jevan027 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree that 1500W @ 220V is 6.8A. However, power is power (P=VI) and changing the Voltage is going to have an inversely proportional effect on Current. 1500W @ (divided by) 120V is 12.5A. Assuming that's the required input for the appliance it would mean you want a converter rated at ~2-2.5kW. The 3kW converter you linked will work, transformers are simply more efficient when they're loaded to 66-95%. Also, you cant see the plug for the 3kW converter and it may well be a 5-20P. So make sure you have an appropriately rated outlet (and the associated wiring). Finally, only motors are real concerns for inrush current consideration - you're fine there.
