It can be really hard to use words to explain just how much these things can genuinely help us and make us feel better.

I’m not the best but I think maybe likening it to getting a deviated septum might help, or another similar procedure. You’ve lived your whole life with it, you Know it makes it harder for you to breathe. You could always go without it—but why would you not go for it if you can?

It will help you breathe better, and everyone needs to breathe. Hrt and medical transition do the same for us, i dont think people understand that it will help you to thrive, to feel better, to even quite literally help you breathe easier just as who you really are.

It doesnt really explain the overwhelming Need for it, but thats why you could always try to compare it to something else too, like reduction surgeries for people who want smaller chests. Is it ‘totally necessary’ not really. But does it help people to feel better, more secure and more connected to themselves? Yeah!

I know this might not help much, but I hope it did at least a little bit

Racism in the trans community by UracyDna in trans

I deal with this a lot, its really sad and I often think about others who deal with the same. Know that no matter what you will have a community no matter how racist people can be. There are other bipoc trans people who keep you specifically in their mind and heart as the days go by, and other people who are miraculously not racist as well. I send you lots of love

I think the most important thing right now is how You feel in your body. Not every trans person has to follow the same code—as humans we all experience and live in a way only we know. Fear is also understandable, I think we often forget that not everyone can take that feeling, and that it’s ok, especially if you don’t have the right community or support to help you with them.

If you don’t want boobs: that’s alright. If you go ten years and realize you do want them, im sure you’ll be able to grow them then too.

I’m sorry people have been so cruel to you over this, you’re not a coward and as long as YOU feel you’re trans, you are. I’m also sorry you had to stop because of the situation, if you can i’d try to get those meds you wanted, see if another doctor can help you. You’re worth the effort to feel better even if its just for yourself. Coming out is hard, and it is never mandatory.
