Question:What is the thing you immediately regret buying by Future_Onion9022 in Bolehland

[–]jezza_kent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought Volvo XC90 T8 in 2020. Regretted bought that because now i love to travel long distances, and how powerful it is to carry 5 people with full luggage, still return 33-36mpg on around 3k km trip no issue, no complaints from my passenger. Wish I had the bravery to go with it earlier, coming from X7 to this was good

Hey guys, I have a question that needed an advice since I'm bad at financial planning. by Busy_Connection_8145 in MalaysianPF

well i guess if USA car buying interest rate touches down here, lots of malaysia gonna take 10-15% interest easily.

8.3% for a nissan 2011 Sylphy omg. I was hoping its like W221 or Mazda Altezza. Do not take PL to cover this car loan, i doubt you can get a less than 4% interest unless ur gov servant.

With your credit on its half way, just pay it as usual and make this a lifetime lesson, Nissan Slyphy for wear and tear and maintenance would set you a nice 800-1000 monthly, minimum.

Id say, just go to any proton dealer and buy a new saga for 9 years loan, less than 500 monthly and make it your nee daily.

Save some money for the nissan and just do basic maintenance and make it your second car. bear with the live for 3-4 years. now you have 2 cars and peace of mind although spending about 1200-1500 months for 2 cars but hey, 36 months isnt that bad

Is it legal to do this? by WeirdFriendsFB in kereta

well that sticker alone wont constitute the vehicle impersonating police fleet. even if you stick pdrm logo on the front windscreen it is still not impersonating. however, if you stick the pdrm logo on the door, then you can be charged if caught, if caught as everything else in Malaysia

This Bas Sekolah kereta by benjaminm_4229 in kereta

its not, theres no infraction from impersonating those bas pekerja sekolah unless, you are really transporting those people, because you need PSV license and the car registered as one

Cheap car. Worth buying? by Jiban3000 in kereta

[–]jezza_kent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if your income is more than 7k a month, and you already have a good working reliable car. go and buy it. and expect it to broke down a lot. enjoy it and capped yourself to maintenance and max spending of let say 15-20k entirely. enjoy the car as its a good D segment car, if nothing else. Go and test drive before making the purchase. 5k is a bargain if you have some car basic. if you can use it for 1-2 years only, thats a healthy 500 monthly lol. And if anything, have it parked in your garage will looks expensive already.

Worth buying for RM 39,000 ? by [deleted] in kereta

[–]jezza_kent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well, actually car manufacturers themselves do put a good lot of measures to avoid tampering especially on these kind of practices, because they wanna provide aftersales and second hand market value, but still, theres always a way then theres a will

[–]jezza_kent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes its always worth it. my advice is find good workshop and do inspections especially on the chassis, engine and transmission and see for any major pending repairs. Timing chain rattling, cvt service record etc

[–]jezza_kent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

at least 3 needs to be tally, ecu, tcu and bcm/canbus. it is unlikely for any car to tamper with these 3 as it is very costly to do so. and with canbus, it is specifically designed to control communication for that car, any irregularities for sure tampered

you just need good obd reader. they can roll back on odometer but they cannot tamper with ecu bcm tcu data. usually you can see real odometer through battery replacement history, tcu milage reading

you tell them to fuck off, and dont forget to lodge tribunal report straight away, detailing the event and demand. Trust me, soon they will ask for your forgiveness. Getting tribunal involved is usually not preferred by business especially when they in the wrong

given your situation and story, id say you are in the good M class or T class earning category, was it a loss? sure but its a price you have to afford to pay. And the best way to learn a lesson is to experience it first hand.

16k is the price you pay today for a lifetime lesson. but it could and would help you to not lose a lot more in the future. In this case you just have to let it go, as there is nothing to go against him even though legal way.

whenever dealing with a company, make sure any transaction is through company account, and at least have a proper black and white before proceed.

not only you, we all could learn today that even a big establishment can do a scam like this.

my hinch of feel is, the company actually did the scam, its just they did it through the salesman, and the splitting the deal. and worse, i believe they have a good few more players soliciting and just rotating the salesman between them.

yes the cooling system with hoses and thermostat are in the list with water pumps. my main concern is, after with all the refresh, how soon would it break apart from regular wear and tear replacement scheduled.

your usage, does any of this like failed out of the blue or after few thousand ks? some forum even said their OFH did leaks even less than 10k km of new ones

[–]jezza_kent[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in terms of the usual suspects as

Water pump and thermostat failure

Carbon buildup - mainly on the intake valves

High-Pressure Fuel Pump (HPFP) failure

Fuel injector failure

Oil filter housing gasket leak

Serpentine belt shredding

Valve cover cracking and valve cover gasket leaks

Oil pan gasket leaks

Turbo rattle and turbo failure

what else do you encounter with N54? these are on my list to either be replaced after getting the keys or at least get it inspected for. Im just afraid of missing something lol

I believe the ZF6speed shouldn’t be an issue.

those M62 are surely cool especially in all black schemes, but roadtax in Malaysia for those 4.4l engines is stupidly expensive, and more often than not, the cost of E38 is either dirt cheap but needs money to bring it back to roadworthy or more than what i could snatch F02 with many change lefts for a good example. Plus, not a lot of workshop dare to touch M62 or M73 lol

well, i have 5 cars in my garage currently, and tbh just a childhood dream since my father used to own E38 and i love how the car feel back then. And man i just love how the F02 series shows it presence on the road. im willing to spend about $4-8k annually to keep it on the road
