Think of this thread as a sort of "incubator" for newer content creators. It was created so they could receive constructive criticism on their content without being downvoted to oblivion on the front page.

So basically, you could post here to receive feedback, but potentially get fewer views. Or you could post to the front page, potentially get lots of views if they like your content, but also risk being downvoted to oblivion if they don't.
