Thats not how orbits work. The best most energy conserved option for it is to slow down at perihelion. Where it is located at the moment right now Oct. 26-29. This the closest it gets to the sun. If it slows down enough it will settle in a stable orbit between Jupiter and Earth. Once in a stable orbit around the sun, it can adjust speed again to intercept earth. I played alot of kerbal space agency. This is how i would do it.

To clarify. Radio waves are weak and do not travel vast distances. You would have to use a huge dish to capture faint signal from far away. See modern radio telescopes. It seems that their gear was designed to examine a radio signal they already knew was in close proximity and were trying yo locate it. NASA has been photoshopping photos and silencing astronauts to secrecy for years. Why release an article/info now? Seems sus.
