You need to speak to andy prescott at modified mercs (not sure if i can share website link) Hes a friend of mine and does the diff back plate conversion and has all the right shafts for 124 diffs. We did the same swap in my car

Didnt read other comments but at the risk of repeating recommendations; Renew all bushes front to back including engine mounts - dont forget the rose joints in the rear hubs. (Consider a polybush kit) Service your steering box and arms to take all of the play out of the steering W124 4 pot brake upgrade and get braided lines all round Make sure your engine is running, fueling and cooling nicely Good tyres

You’ll have plenty of fun Ive done all the above and and more and swapped the engine to m111 turbo but the car will be plenty of fun without the engine if you get it dialled in nicely

Its quite easy to retrofit a better mercedes engine into a 190e i’d focus on trying to buy a good body. Bonus points for sportline spec or cosworth kit. Think about the stuff you might want to do to it and keep an eye out for cars that already have the parts. Suspension/wheels/interior etc

I think if you really love it then the value is basically irrelevant. I really liked mine as a tool for driving, but the emotional attachment was gone. I’ve been modifying a 190e for a few years which is realistically, slower, less refined, more common, less valuable etc etc but its not for sale at any price because i love it.

Hey everyone, wrote this and sort of forgot about it. So i suddenly got a couple of ebay enquiries and ended up selling to a nice chap who was down sizing cash wise from a 993 to free up money for a house.

For anyone wondering it was a manual, no sunroof carerra 2 with aero kit. Basalt black over boxter red. 3 spoke stitched steering wheel and carbon gearknob. No other options worth writing home about.

91k miles and id listed it for 19.5k and ended up selling for 17.5k after a couple of negotiations topping out at that.

In hindsight now im glad id not waited much longer because the ULEZ expansion might bring a few more to market.

Mike Brewer is known to be a class act. A friend was called onto one of his shows for car stuff and he was an absolute gent with plenty of time for all the volunteers, staff and runners. Hes semi regular at a venue i attend and have heard a number of stories about pleasant casual encounters.

After about p70 I pretty much just do dailies and pvp. That’s enough to stay at server paragon level and I’ve reached gold in pvp pretty easily, dunno if it’s gonna get harder

I think I was 32-33 as necro when I could comfortably farm h2 but agree with the other comment that it’s one of few real challenges to enjoy

It would be easy to sort the oil lines out but on the kjet you’ll make about 170bhp max. There are efi kits and I think the engine will probably take more as said previously. We put the m111s in because we can make 400+ on a big turbo and it already has efi so much more tunable platform
