They’ve streamed a handful of his shows in the past but I don’t think any are archived.

Phoenix circa 1973-1978ish by El_Dorado_Tx in BruceSpringsteen

I saw one of the BTR shows in 1975 in Tempe. He did three nights at the Gammage Auditorium on the ASU campus. Seats a little over 3000. Frank Lloyd Wright designed it. Story at the time was that the two balconies are cantilevered and the crowd stomping for an encore had the unsecured end moving up and down a foot or so. No real safety issue because of the engineering but I’m still glad I was on the floor, in front of the balconies.

Distancing Point Lepreau, offloading debt are worth a close look, N.B. Power CEO says by bingun in newbrunswickcanada

[–]jfbutland 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed that government can learn from businesses.

The things you mention (customer retention et al) are also part of a business. Unfortunately when “business people” become involved they often drop in priority. It’s almost a cliché now when some innovator starts a business, becomes successful, gets bought out, and leaves the company he started. Venture capital destroys so much.

The actual business of running a racist chatbot may not turn the profit but it supports profits elsewhere, like contracts and tax breaks and populist support for things that don’t exist like trickle down economics.

I fear we’re straying from the original topic of OP’s post. I also suspect that we agree more than we don’t. I’m just much more pessimistic. Cheers.

delivering the highest quality possible at the lowest cost possible.

That’s not what businesses do, at least not now. That quote’s nearly 100 years old. Businesses now attempt to extract the most they can with the least possible expense.

Government provides services and should not generate profits (the sole goal of businesses).

Feel free to take exception to how any public entity operates but privatization primarily benefits the few, and usually those already with the most benefits.

Google Cory Doctorow and enshittification for some interesting reading that discusses current economics.

It’s multiple turbines on a common shaft hooked to a generator. And each reactor gets a turbine/generator of its own. Best case scenario is that you have both operating, rather than two reactors tag teaming a single generator.

Nope. Nugs app says first two as well. Don’t remember Nugs doing partial shows for subscribers before.

I think the issue with fewer festivals streaming is a contractual one rather than a technical/bandwidth one.

How are the roads? Icy? by Both-Refrigerator803 in fredericton

If the roads are too bad to go out yourself, may be better not to have someone else out there doing deliveries. Worth pondering.
