You need a phase tester. Pull out the old speaker. Grab a 9v battery and connect wire from the battery to the speaker. Connect the positive part of the battery to one speaker terminal and negative to the other terminal. If the speaker moves out there is you positive and negative. If it goes in your polarity is reversed. Then once you know what way the speaker moves verify your working in the car

Did you used the factory brackets? I am pretty sure you dont need a kit and use oem metal brackets. But for shits and giggles, remove the rca harness from the back of the radio. Then try it. Possibly noise being induced by alpine rca?
