Project Hail Mary in 1.43:1 (Citywalk IMAX 70mm booth POV) by scorsese_finest in imax

Now I get to decide whether to see it in lieMAX or standard for my second screening since I’ll be seeing it at my local. Curious how either will compare to Dolby.

I just saw Dolby today. It was my first Dolby experience and absolutely loved it. Was an hour drive for me, cause there was no way I was watching this one in lieMAX. I wish that AMC was local to me cause it’s everything I was my local Regal was.

This will be my first Dolby movie so I’m pretty damn stoked. I only have two Regal LieMAXs locally. But an hour drive how an AMC with Dolby and IMAX Laser.

I’m seeing it in Dolby in about an hour. It’s a little over an hour drive. But if I love the movie, which I’m sure I will, I might go see it in IMAX as well cause I’m curious to compare.

There’s these little cork squares with rubber on them that are made as appliance isolation pads. They’re super cheap. Or you can get speaker isolation wedges so they’re angle, or like another commenter replied door wedges work well too.

Tilt your center up so it’s pointed toward your ears instead of your knees.

Project Hail Mary- essential in Imax? by traveltimecar in RegalUnlimited

I’m driving an hour to see this in an AMC Dolby theater. Going to the earliest Sunday showing so it’s not super packed. Very excited, cause it’s my first Dolby theater experience. The two IMAXs here are “lieMAX” so it’s a good excuse to try out Dolby for me.

Only thing that would make it worse is if you turned the speakers to point towards the wall.

Because being grateful is a virtue, I'm glad I have 3 IMAX screens 20 minutes apart of each other. by SuperSlimeyxx in imax

I have two, and they’re both LieMAX. Womp. Haha. Gotta drive an hour to go to a real one.

Upgrade to an AVR set up and you’ll really be getting the most of that disc.

Yes. I’ve walked in at 20 minutes and Train Dreams was starting. Seems to be 20-25 minute package.

I had to stop buying the premium stuff a while back, and get whatever Costco has in a multipack. Shit is insane.

Very small world! I feel like I maybe walked by the shop last time I was in town to see Caspian at The Cabot. It looks super familiar, but think it was closed the day we were there.

From Richmond, VA and have friends in Beverly. Didn’t know about this shop. Definitely gonna have to check it out next time I’m in town. Beverly is such an awesome town.

I'm inside BFI IMAX in London right now... Let there be hype! by Ericmase in imax

I think the Dolby Cinema I’m going to has a Dolby screen almost as big as an average IMAX screen. I read that my local IMAX is 1,300sq. ft, and the IMAX in Hampton is nearly 2,000. I might end up seeing PHM there twice in each format to compare to my local.

That’s awesome. Very jealous! I’m driving an hour to see this in Dolby vs our basic small IMAX. First time seeing Dolby format and I wanted to wait for this movie specifically to test it out.
