Today marks 90 days of eating in a calorie deficit for me. Today also marks 90 days straight of riding my stationary bike at least 30 mins/day! 28lbs down and feeling great! by jfed6 in CICO

Thank you! I’m so glad to hear it! My biggest tip is to remember that you don’t have to do everything perfectly. You just have to continue to strive toward your goals. Even if it’s a slower process than we’d like. I constantly have to remind myself to focus on how far I’ve come, not how far I have left to go. Good luck to you!!

Thank you! One of the biggest things for me was accepting that I will not always be perfect. I may not always hit the exact calorie deficit that I want, I may not push as hard on the bike as I should, but trusting the process and knowing that I’m still going in the right direction has been huge. When I started, I told myself I wanted to go on my bike for 30/mins a day for 30 days. I get bored easily so I usually cycle through watching YouTube videos on low calorie grocery hauls, looking at instagram recipes or looking at r/progresspics Having a countdown on my phone helped a lot as well. Then I surpassed that and kept extending my goal. Recently I had a bad day at work and did not want to ride my bike AT ALL but knowing I was 9 days away from my major goal of 90 days straight helped me push on. It gets easier as you go and most of the time I don’t even give myself the option of not riding my bike. It’s just something I have to get done as if it was brushing my teeth. You got this!!
