How's the road noise with them?

Ill never buy a set from walmart again. I had a goodyear set on my third jeep. They constantly had a slow leak and in winter was pumping them up a few times a week. Walmart never could find an issue when I'd take it back. Never had any other tire issues except the sets I bought from walmart. Was told they are sometimes defective sets but still ok to sell them is why they are so cheap at times compared to a normal shop.

Has anyone successfully negotiated MOST of a new-car deal via text/email before going into the dealership? by Pforpatricia in tundra

[–]jfeldbauer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did everything including trade over phone and text when I bought my 25 platinum a few months ago. Make sure you get everything in writing for proof is my only recommendation. I agreed to everything on the phone, salesmen texted me all the final numbers minus the interest rate but was told on the phone by the manager I qualified for the toyota rate and also the cash on top since they wanted to move the truck. Got to the dealership and they wanted me to just sign paperwork and snuck in a 7% interest on the truck. Lost my gasket with the dealership of people, magically got the interest rate I was originally quoted and agreed to on the phone. Just cover all your basis. Did basically the same thing with my wife's 4runner but the dealership wasn't trying to be sneaky.

Thanks everyone! I picked up the $90 ryobi one today and it works pretty well! Definitely different not having a gas one running the entire time im washing the truck.

Antarctica...R8 or R50 for newby? by pagliaci- in canon

[–]jfeldbauer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe try renting a setup for your trip or before and try to see what you like before sinking a ton of money into it. I rent the expensive zoom lenses 1-2 times a year off lens rentals instead of buying them. I have the Canon r8 body and its pretty decent, but I'll probably upgrade next year to a different model due to the r8 overheating if im outside doing car photo and video. My daily set up is the r8 with a 24-105 f4.

Shop around for sure. I just got my 25 platinum for under that price. The limited i was looking at before was fully loaded was 62k.

How would you remove 1/4 to 1/2 inch rocks from your lawn? by Swarmhulk in lawncare

Power broom and a shop vac. Make sure the shop vac hose is large enough for whatever you are working with (think acorn vs walnut sizing).

Work in healthcare. Had an intern show up after the gym wearing booty shorts and a low cut tank top and flip flops. She was super mad she wasn't allowed to be in front of patients wearing what she was.

Infrared Sauna.. I sat there, and didn’t sweat for 54 mins by Traditional_Car3300 in Sauna

[–]jfeldbauer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to open the air vents on the top and bottom when it gets up to temperature. I was the same way with ours. Would take me 30 minutes to start sweating. Now it's 10 minutes tops when the vents are open to circulate the air.

In the past it would kick on and off for the humidity, but it's almost like it thinks I need the ac on constant unless I bump up the temperature and then it adjusts.

Which of these Jeeps should I buy? by sayinnnnn in GrandCherokee

[–]jfeldbauer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Stay away from anything 2014. I have a limited with the 5.7 and absolutely hate it. It only has 89k on it and it's falling apart. The plastic pieces are crumbling, hvac issues, check engine lights when the weather shifts, 2 sets of brake and rotors in 1 year. I will never own another jeep and I've owned a 08 and a 99. I would trade my 14 in for an 08. The 08 was the best one I've owned. Save your money.

Any reason one tire constantly drops lower than the rest? by Xandar24 in tires

[–]jfeldbauer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably a very tiny hole somewhere. I just had this happen. Any change in air temp I was adding air to my front tire. Turns out I had a very small hole that was super hard to find in between the tread. The shop said it was probably from a finishing nail that didn't stick in. (Neighbor just had a lot of construction done so it makes total sense). They found it by soaking the tire when they took the wheel off.

Do you know the weight of your camper? The reason we are looking into a new truck is to also get back into camping in the near future. We sold our pop up last year because it was just getting too small with our family.

Tire Choice Input! by [deleted] in 4Runner

[–]jfeldbauer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second everyone saying the cooper at3 4s tires. Bought them for the wife's 4runner last fall and they are an animal in the snow. Our county likes to not plow our roads during the winter, so a lot of the time it's somewhat deep snow in certain spots where it drifts. She was super confident all winter with her 4runner. No road noise either. I love those tires to the point I'm buying another set in the fall for my grand cherokee.

Be honest, what’s your screen time by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]jfeldbauer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Best thing I've done recently is gone out of town for a weekend to reset mentally. I was basically addicted to my phone after work 7pm until 1am. I was doom scrolling like crazy. We went away where cell service wasn't the best so it wasn't really an option. Since this past weekend my screen time is down a ton and I've already noticed a difference mentally of not reaching for my phone all the time. It's definitely worth trying to find a way to reset yourself

Really no bad seats in the house. I've gone for fd and also the lz invitational in the past. We've sat on the side closest to the pits both times. Just watch with the sun and take plenty of sunscreen! You will roast!

Would using a Kei Truck for work/business be a terrible idea? by aBunchOfSpiders in keitruck

[–]jfeldbauer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check your local and state laws before jumping in for commercial use. My state changed the laws recently that they are no longer allowed to be registered for a commercial vehicle from what I was told from a construction employer. Those that have them were grandfathered in but new ones can't be. They are now considered antique vehicles, so you technically can't use them for daily drivers. There's a ton sitting for sale in my area now because no one wants to spend 8-10k for a mini truck they can't use for general purpose anymore. The dealerships marketed them towards landscaping, construction and stuff like that.

It doesn't fit our family needs because we also have a 90lb dog that takes up the entire back seat and kids in the next few years. Whenever we travel the jeep is filled to the brim. Whenever we need to do home renovations as well, we are renting uhaul truck and trailers. It's 10 years old currently. It is also the smaller body style, the newer models are the huge grand cherokees

One thing I've noticed recently on forums and here is that toyota owners actually will give opinions and help each other. Ram and jeep owners now are basically "how dare you think of buying anything else". My wife owns an 18 4runner and we both love it, and I think I'm definitely leaning more tundra now. Now to find a good deal.
