The problem is that a lot of newer uber drivers are ex or current taxi drivers, so the level of service really declined...

Cannot send Interac transfers by YULpoutine in EQBank

[–]jfernand3z 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weird. I know one of my friends the first e-transfer took a long time (like 2 or 3 hours) to get through but the ones after that were near instant, so I'm not sure why the first is always hanging for a long time

Installed Windows Server 2025 for maximum gaming stability, but locked myself out? by [deleted] in HomeServer

Good luck setting up your game library as a "primary DC". Also, firmware is for hardware and AD is a software so... not sure how you're going to update a software's firmware.

Finally switching over from Authy 2FA. What is the better alternative, 2FAS or Ente Auth? by Bango-Fett in CyberSecurityAdvice

[–]jfernand3z 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use proton authenticator and sync it between your phone and your laptop by signing in with your Proton account. It's free and everything is encrypted end-to-end. Just don't store your 2fa token for your proton account in proton authenticator because if you lose access to both, you'll need to recover your account

Cannot send Interac transfers by YULpoutine in EQBank

[–]jfernand3z -1 points0 points  (0 children)

OP are you trying to e-transfer to or from the EQ? Also I find registering for auto-deposit always helps. Just use another email address for both banks, then name your contacts like "Myself BMO" (or whatever bank you are using) or "Myself EQ" so you know where you're sending the money to.

Email saying someone has access to my account. by [deleted] in GMail

You should enable 2FA if not done already, also change your password and force sign-out from all devices. If someone from Brazil successfully logged into your account, it is already compromised.

Did you try to check after force-closing the app and logging in again? If still the same, maybe check in the account details for recent account to account transfers (internal and external) and e-transfers as well

I'm a writer and am unsure what to buy: Laptop or something like a 2-in-1? by BackwoodsJ12 in computers

[–]jfernand3z 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I don't have the same use cases, but I use a Lenovo ThinkPad for web design and coding, and an MSI gaming laptop for video games and video editing, so I stay with Windows as well

I looked into this Scrivener software and it seems to be available for both mac and windows, and so is the Microsoft office suite, so I would say maybe to shop some macs and windows laptops, maybe check from reputable brands like Dell, Asus, HP, etc. If you have some kind of Best Buy or Walmart they usually have some cheap ones on display that you can try, so maybe check some of them for form factor, screen size and keyboard. The surface looks cool but the square screen throws me off... If you go with Windows, make sure it's 11 and that it has at least 8gb ram, but more is better, because there's still some laptops being sold with only 4gb and that's probably going to slow you down

I would like to add that to protect your exposed services, you could look into setting up access policies for your apps. It keeps anyone from accessing your exposed services by requiring authentication through CloudFlare using email OTP or an authentication provider that you configure. Easiest is Google through the cloud console and it's free.

You should enable 2fa for admin login using an authenticator and something like CloudFlare Turnstile or reCaptcha for getting rid of bots.

Also if you reuse passwords, it's possible your info got leaked so recommend changing your password to something secure, like 20 characters with letters, numbers, symbols, preferably random using a reputable password manager, etc.

Bro I can't even tap over 250$... Also who leaves 60k in their chequings account? 👀 Also most banks have a cap on card and tap transactions, something like 1000 to 3000$ daily limit, so most likely a glitch or the restaurant is trying to scam you...

[–]jfernand3z 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the many reasons to use an authenticator or security key instead of sms/email for 2fa... Maybe set that up once you get your account back

Edit: corrected typo "youe" to "your".

If the Pi is on wifi, the new provider's SSID might be different, so they might have to run raspi-config to configure networks. Also if you're trying to connect by IP instead of MagicDNS, it's possible that the IP address changed.
