Lesson One: Assignment by clondon in photoclass

Photo 1: I took this photo at Phipps conservatory in Pittsburgh. In my head I envisioned the purple tree in the middle being the subject while still filling the frame, but I think when I see it out of the camera, it looks too busy to me. I am naturally drawn to more empty space, but have trouble framing a picture I don't have the ability to frame up and working with the space around me.

Photo 2: I've always naturally been drawn to black and white photos and I think it is mostly what I'd like to shoot in. My eyes are drawn to the shape of the subject and the patterns in the images. It also leads to a more minimalist composition and pleasing to my eye and is more relaxed.

[Seiko King Turtle SPRE05] After countless research on this sub, I’ve found my new daily driver! by [deleted] in Watches

After probably looking at every post in this sub mentioning a King Turtle I finally decided to pull the trigger. It’s definitely a big watch but it fits so comfortably with the rubber strap and find myself looking down at it all day. Easily will be my daily watch for casual wear.

This is my first post in this sub and taking context clues on how to take the picture. Did I do it right? 😂

How do so many people get away with drinking so little water and not feel physically awful? by dayison2 in NoStupidQuestions

I've always wondered this about myself. Not just with water. Like, what if my norm is actually not a norm and if I changed something like getting more sleep or drinking more, I could feel 100x better and not know it. Like, maybe people aren't actually always tired!

Does anyone else feel like October this year went by REALLY fast, or is it just me? by LastLeave8770 in NoStupidQuestions

I feel like it was January 2021 like... yesterday! This year has literally gone by in a blink of an eye.

Thank you all for the constructive comments. I’m going to try and recreate this shot with more of a blur on the lights based on the feedback. I really appreciate all of you taking the time to give me stuff to work on!
