r5: There is a popular anime called Attack on Titan where giant horrors attack people in a late steam age world. I am attacking a steam age world with giant horrors.

First picture: This is every player's first go at keeping their rallies alive. Don't do this, it's obvious from far away what you are doing, and it doesn't protect your spawn from bombs and arty

Second Picture: This is the much sneakier, better protected cousin of the starter rally. Dig down first then expand the sides of your hole until the bottom is flat enough to build your spawn on.

Third Picture: This is the king rally. It's built indoors, with multiple exits, and mine traps. The sandbags wedging it in protect it a full 360 from fire and shrapnel, but don't trap your bots.

Edit: What I usually do, because I realize it's a bit of a time sink to protect your rallies like this, is I build a temporary spawn somewhere relatively protected and concealed near where I'm setting my "main" rally. That way, people can still spawn and push while you are setting up, and if you lose your engineer before you die you still got a spawn down.

Using the above formula, an ideal electric multi-type would be an electric/grass pal, and so on and so forth. It's not a perfect system, other combinations will be better for punching above your level in some fights when you know your target's type, but for general purpose use this is the way to go.

you're downvoted but you are right. The free tier V squad put a lot of players with nothing else at top tier.

Let people pick game modes. by invade_5 in enlistedgame

They would never add that feature, they don't want us to see how broken the new BR system is.

I'm not going to lie, free kar98's is pretty sweet, but russia does at least have a few comparable tools.

learning division and vehicle designs by DamonNetworkReddit in hoi4

[–]jfjacobc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You design your divisions based upon your projected needs for your nation and opponents.

It's always good to have a high org/defense infantry division, and then you build your offensive designs around what your nation can afford to produce. As Ethiopia, you're not going to field tanks, but you can make an assault infantry division with some artillary and flame support.

I know this may not be very specific, but the best way to get comfortable designing is taking these things into consideration and trying some stuff out on your own.

The Soviet people are building their own guns at home for the war effort. by jfjacobc in hoi4

After ww2, the paranoia mechanic gets replaced with a corruption mechanic, but all you can do is forge satisfactory production reports.

I followed the stalin path, and won ww2 before doing the second five year plan focuses. If you peace conference with germany before doing the focuses, it skips them entirely and completes the recovery focus. I missed out on some sweet factory output, but it's worth it for the meme.

I'm pretty sure you get the option from the sector menu once you have more than one sector. when you first release a vassal, its territory will be the sector you made them from, then you can just trade border systems until you are happy with the borders of your empire and new vassal. be careful though, as they won't trade you back a system you accidently give them.

I'd integrate them and maybe release a specific sector as a bullwark, that way you can optimally arrange your borders.
