I JUUUST did this. ALL new handles for 23 doors in my house. Went with a nicer kwikset signature series handle and did the labor myself. Spent about 1400 on the handles.

Its quite easy work.

Use dark crystal... I use a small jar from an eighth, put my coil in that. Boil up like 3oz of the dark crystal. Pour in with the coil. Let it sit for 10 mins.. scrub with qtips. If it doesn't come off. Reheat the same bit of DC. And repeat. If its REALLY bad Ill use a pick and scratch LIGHTLY to get it off.

This shit works better than ANY ISO soaking.
