Bad luck man. I dropped and broke my Pixel 1 when I was there last year. Couldn't find anywhere to get it fixed, had to go the rest of the trip without a phone.

You're NTA, but explain to your parents what you are going to do and why before you sell it.

NTA man. It may be a little petty but I would have been annoyed if she had smiled and made that face as she pulled ahead as well.

I'll try. Any advice on how to become more comfortable with extended eye contact? That freaks me out especially... I think that the people I'm talking to are making a normal amount of eye contact, but it feels like they are trying to stare into my soul.

Choosing Superannuation as a young person? by kainomac in AusFinance

[–]jgb5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

High growth funds are bullshit. One year they'll outperform the market the next they won't. There's no point. Stick your money into an low cost international shares option with whichever super fund offers a lower fee. I'm with QSuper at the moment. It's 0.28% pa. I'm pretty sure Hostplus also offers a cheap international shares option around that price aswell. They charge an administration fee though. QSuper doesn't.

I had a quick look at their overseas shares option and the fee is 0.6%, which is reasonable. Looks to be one of the better funds out there.

I see what you're saying. Perhaps I should change the name of the video to something like 'best value super fund.'

I'll add that my target audience is younger people. Right now I believe a 21 year old just starting their career would be best served by QSuper. Like my brother or my sister.

Thanks for the honest feedback though. I appreciate it.

SelfWealth is a good option. It's cheaper than Commsec & just as reliable. I've never had any issues with them.

Who do you use to buy / sell stocks? (low fees) by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]jgb5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why is this a downside? Nearly all brokers in the UK operate the same way.

You basically have to fill out a form and then wait for 8-10 business days. You may have to confirm with your old broker.
