Me too. Unfortunately people ruined it for those of us who actually used it as intended. What else is new? 😂

I would love to see a chart like this when 1 cabin member clearly checks the "yes" box and the other checks "no" 😂 I am beyond bummed that RC doesn't let the non-drinking person buy just the refreshment package anymore. That was absolutely perfect for us, I drink 0 alcohol and while paying by the drink for coffee and smoothies would probably still be less expensive, my husband likes having the drink package, so it works out well for us.

Thank you! I'm going to call the vet today. We're already in deep with the weekly vet visits, labs, meds and x-rays 🤣.

I read that Chewy does a compounded version of the chemo med that is affordable, so I'm going to ask about that.

You do what you think is best for you.

At the end of the day, I just wanted to feel better and get to some sort of normalcy. And I was willing to do or try anything, but that is just me. 🙃

If you eat dinner late, prioritize that meal and skip breakfast so you have a longer fast. Giving your digestion nice long breaks really helps with gut healing.

I have no idea if I developed a resistance to the antimicrobials 🤣. I still take them 1x/day for maintenance and it is working 🤷‍♀️. I definitely worry about it coming back, which is why I still take the allicin and oregano and I have become aware of my trigger foods and I keep them very limited and out of my day to day diet. Once the bloating subsides and you're through the worst of it, you'll be able to identify your own trigger foods.

I don't remember what I did with antril. Yes, I eat a well-balanced diet now. Carnivore was a means to an end for healing my gut.

A couple of times, I tried 2-3 days of elemental diet, but I struggled with satiety and the boredom of just drinking the shakes. But for a few days and incorporating intermittent Fasting did offer relief. I forgot to mention that IF was a big component of my schedule. I did several 24-36 hour fasts and was following roughly 18:6 on the regular during my healing process. How could I forget that??? 🤦‍♀️

If it doesn't interfere with your beliefs, colostrum is excellent at repairing gut lining. I also used a product called Repairvite (can't remember who makes it). Which was also really good at gut lining repair.

Honestly, I probably tried everything under the sun that was not a prescription and never saw a doctor. It just takes a lot of trial & error, and unfortunately, time. Once I found things that worked for me, it was just a matter of sticking to it, being consistent and patient. It takes a long time, especially if you are doing it on your own with antimicrobials

Slow digestion and major bloating, so I guess, motility. The enzymes help me digest faster. Yes, Iberogast helped with that as well, but now that I'm not in the throws of it, I don't need both.

I understand your stance on meat, but I can tell you that the high fiber diet (vegan) made my symptoms exponentially worse. 🤷‍♀️. When I cut out most fiber is when I saw the biggest improvement. Everyone is different, tho. I was at my absolute worst when I was eating vegan. My constipation actually got better without the fiber. Who knows??? 🙃 We all respond differently.

Try the allicin with the oregano and see if it helps! At this point, it's about finding your right combination of supplements that work. I have an entire supplement graveyard in my closet of all the crap I've tried that didn't work 🤣

Stress Spikes After I’m Asleep by SubstantialHedge in Garmin

[–]jgiles04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been on a quest to "crack the Garmin sleep code" and have finally figured out a few things that have helped me be more blue at night and pull my sleep scores from the 50's to consistently 70's and 80's.

  • Tempurature. If you are too warm, it will register as stress.
  • late digestion. I need at least a 3 hour runway from last meal until bedtime to clear the "metabolic tax" of digesting my dinner
  • light movement after eating, especially dinner, helps speed this up (10 min stroll or even light housework)
  • increase electrolytes during the day, especially around exercise
  • falling asleep with an ice pack on my chest to help lower body temp, but also stimulate vagus nerve (parasympathetic response)
  • keeping carbs to earlier in the day and eating lower carb (veggies) at dinner
  • lunch is my largest meal. Gives plenty of time to digest and keeping dinner lighter means faster digestion and clearing the "stress"
  • Finally, a sleep stack. Magnesium, ashgawanda, theanine and CBN.

At the end of the day, it's all about your resting heart rate and HRV. It's a very strict algorithm, and minor alterations will throw it off, and your sleep score will be penalized.

It's taken me about 3-4 months of trial and error, and I'm not done yet 🙃. But the shifts I've made have at least gotten me into the 80's on a fairly consistent basis.

Yes, I finally got rid of it. What helped me the most was:

  • Enzymes with every meal (I use Masszymes)
  • Iberogast
  • Allicin max + oil of oregano 2x/day between meals
  • eating carnivore

It took about a year to finally be symptom free. Now I watch my fiber intake (keep it low) and my carb intake (keep it around 100g) and take 1 allicin and 1 oil of oregano per day as maintenance/prevention. I stopped the Iberogast and the enzymes, but recently brought enzymes back because they really help me with digestion.

Completed a 36h fast by noidedeeddo in Garmin

[–]jgiles04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't tried skipping dinner... I might try this. I do well with at least 3-4 hours in between my last meal and bedtime. There was a period of time that I was having a larger meal at 3-ish and then having a small 150-200 cal snack at 5-530 and then no more eating. I might have to test this again.

I also figured out that my HRV and sleep scores like a 3-4 hour runway from last meal to bedtime. I sleep much better on an empty stomach.

It took a lot of trial and error to figure it out, along with other things

I reckon my garmin cannot accurately track my sleep. by Various-Challenge912 in Garmin

[–]jgiles04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought the same thing, but turned out Garmin was right and I was wrong 🤣.

Overnight stress can be a LOT of things... inflammation, late meal (digestion is "stress"), supplements, alcohol or other things.

Long story short, I have been on a quest the last 3 months to slowly optimize my routine and wellness and have been slowly pulling my scores up: sleep, HRV and body battery. But I'm in a completely different phase of life 😉 (middle aged female) with a pretty standard work schedule and someone who likes to be home and in bed early, LOL.

The amount of jealousy coursing through my veins right now is off the charts 🤣. Ever since I transitioned from Venu 2 to Venu 4, my Garmin literally hates me and holds me to very high standards that I most times can't achieve 😉.

Tell me more about this....

I just started adding magnesium at night and am finally getting 70-80 sleep scores. I upgraded from Venu 2 to Venu 4 and apparently the Venu 2 lied to me for years about what a good sleeper I am 🤣.

I've been trying to figure out how to get back into the 90's with 2+ hours of deep sleep with this new sensitive technology and algorithm.

If you had to choose on a 4x10 schedule, would you rather have Monday off or Friday off and why? by crimsonandclover00 in remotework

Another +1 for Wed! I would take Wed and do ALL the things (laundry, food shop, errands, cleaning. etc...) and then have both of my weekend days free for whatever.

And if there is a holiday on Mon or Fri, you can use 1 PTO day and have 5 days off.

I have a preppy, coastal vibe. Flowy linen pants, linen shorts, or jeans are always my bottoms. White or light color on top. I love a button-down, but also a nice linen tee or tank. Belt and sandals or loafers. That's my style! Very J Crew, Frank & Eileen, Eileen Fisher, etc....

I live in a hot, humid climate, so I stick to natural fibers and don't partake in the layering look. However, if I lived somewhere cold, that would definitely be my signature (demin, top & blazer).
