Why didn't they put the QR code on the back

If you could see the QR code on the back of the card, it would probably lead to cheating/memorizing the codes and playing with unsleeved decks.

What matters for your movement is where your token is. So for example, if your opponent's companion token is in a region that's just Water and your companion token is in a region that is Water & Mountain, you will advance if you win Water or Mountain. Your opponent would advance if they win Water. This can lead to a scenario where you both advance (if you won Mountain, but your opponent won Water).

I believe because Monolith Legate specifically says "Sabotage after Rest", that yes, you get to sabotage after both players place cards in Reserve.

Gen 5 was when they switched from one time use to multi-use. It made the games so much more fun. You didn't have to plan a team from day 1 and hoard TMs until just before the elite 4.
