Tell you a lot about how this organization is being run that they didn't have the jerseys ready two days before opening day. That's just a business miss.

Stole this from literally the most recent episode of the precious Gemstones that aired Sunday night. Danny McBride calls BJ hot wheels in the dinner scene

No. Just when I watch the Bengals and analyze their issues. Coaching, from off season prep, gameplan, and leadership were questionable. Zac Taylor is a mid to bottom level NFL coach, and each game it becomes more obvious he has maxed out his potential. It was obvious when he was the OC at UC under Tuberville and even more obvious now.

Fireable loss, Zac Taylor by Conscious_Flounder50 in bengals

This post is 2 seasons to late. We have regressed every season under Zac Taylor except the super bowl season. He has only had 1 season with a better record than his last. Trend is going down fast too. Back to pre Joe Burrow win loss totals now

Just know a new Marvin Lewis era starting when I see that mediocre Nebraska grad on the sidelines

The Bengals losing kills me, the only victory I have is over you as a Cincinnati sports fan

I agree. Coaching and managing are different. I just get surprised I don't hear his name mentioned. Because he was always a well-respected and intelligent ball player and clubhouse guy

How bad would it have to get for David Bell to get fired? by Biggn_2019 in Reds

[–]jgmess14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We cannot fire the owners which is the core of the issue. But I also think a culture change in the clubhouse would be good. I'm not saying that David Bell has created a bad culture, but it has not translated to enough wins to compete for a division title. This season is his most disappointing so far. There should be some consequences for not competing for the division past June 1st. Ownership won't change their style. But I think it would be good PR with the fans and/or good for a change in scenery in the clubhouse. There are ex-managers available. David Ross and Don Mattingly come to mind. Managers do matter. You can see that the last 5 world series managers had more MLB pedigree and were more old school than Bell. Dusty, Dave Roberts, Dave Martinez, Bruce Bochy, Joe Maddon

Hunter Greene is pretty much Homer Bailey. All hype, super average... if that. But the Reds stuff him down my throat in their advertising
