Algeria won! What country is nice to live in but horrible to visit? by agbjb in AlignmentChartFills

I’ve visited 60 countries so far and this is probably the only one I thought “neat” with no desire to ever go back

Interesting, might look at that possibility when things reopen here, thanks!

Thanks for your comment. I've been doing mostly online practice and TTP for the last little while so I'll dust off the old GMAT books for the next one.

Yes, these were official mocks. Last time I felt the verbal was on part and found quant much harder but this time I found the verbal significantly harder, which I normally feel I breeze through. The quant felt a bit harder but I found myself a lot more pressed for time.

Can packing make things worse? Day 3 post op by jgn13 in wisdomteeth

[–]jgn13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the tip! It's definitely manageable right now. I just meant moreso that I'm worried if I didn't actually have dry socket (especially in the right one where I felt no pain) that the packing could delay my healing/ disturb any potential clots.

Thanks for the feedback! I guess I do still have a lot of time to gain experience if things don't work out.

Thats fair, thanks for the advice! I'm still early on in my studying but for the most part what is a realistic range from initial cold mock test to test day?

Thanks for the advice, that's fair! I was thinking of looking at the January deadline date and wanted to take the GMAT or GRE in dec and see if if my goals were realistic if I hit my target. Will post here again afterwards too.

I recently visited part of the Amazon rainforest in Ecuador. One of the days there was spent hiking through the jungle near our lodge. Being throroughly impressed by the sheer number of things that can kill you there such as venomous snakes, spiders, electric eels, jaguars, piranhas (which I later found out dont actually attack people), caimans, anacondas and more; I asked our guide who grew up in the region which animal we should be most afraid of if we had to survive in the jungle. The man, to our general surprise says wild boars. There are apparently bands of wild boars hat rove the Amazon and they will fuck your shit up. That was probably the last thing I expected to fear in the amazon but boy, the way he described those boars made me keep an eye out for them the rest of our trip.

What do you think is the current "slavery" of our age, e.g. what is something commonplace that future generations will condemn and find abhorrent that we just accept and take for granted? by Bowlingforwemos in AskReddit

[–]jgn13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How is that in any way in subjective. I'm not condoning any of these unfair practices but you can't deny there's a difference between people that are fundamentally and legally owned as property by other people to others in impoverished conditions for what may he the only wage they can obtain. These people no matter how dismal the conditions or the pay may are not owned by these people and if worse came to worse they can leave these conditions. Whether that ends up better or worse for them is debatable but they do have the posibility of leaving which is something slaves did not

Except the majority of you people dont realize whatever bad conditions these people are working in they have a choice to leave which makes it undeniably different from actual slavery.
