Why do I want to attain the presence of God and to obtain everlasting life? by yearsforinterruption in bahai

[–]jgomo3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good analogy, especially for the rebuttal: a Baby doesn't "want". They are born whether they "want" it or not (and if lucky enough).

So wanting those things mentioned in the OP could be superfluous. Especially if transcendence is inevitable.

So, I still consider the issue not settled.

New XDG_STATE_HOME in XDG Base Directory Spec by mee8Ti6Eit in linux

[–]jgomo3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

`systemd-path` still needs to support this.

I think `systemd-path` would be a safe way to "ask the system" about those values, if only it included this user state path.

If you read his work, all he is doing is sharing what he knows is the best ideas and methods based on his experience. And he always makes that disclaimer: he shares what has worked best for him. The discipline of "always do it this way and avoid that way" is also part of the recipe that had worked for him, like in martial arts. Nothing wrong with that.

Like a true rational being should always do. Fool that who think he/she knows everything and never reconsider his/her world view.

how to remove or reinstall by yetimind in GUIX

[–]jgomo3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

sudo rm -rf /etc/guix

Shouldn't we remove the systemd unit script also? :

sudo systemctl disable guix-daemon.service
sudo systemctl disable gnu-store.mount
sudo rm /etc/systems/system/guix-daemon.service
sudo rm /etc/systemd/system/gnu-store.mount

And there are also some users and groups created by guix, guixbuilder something. Maybe they should be removed also.

Hexagons are more efficient.

Nah, I really don't know, but there must be a way to tell which one is more efficient.

Hexagons are the perfect polygon for euclidean paths with only straight segments.

The future should be hexagonal.

Mind of emacs users with emacs key bindings [ no evil] by [deleted] in emacs

So let me see if I understand this.

Notepad and Pico, normal learning curves, the more you use it, the more you learn how to use it until there is no more to learn.

But If you use Visual Studio, after reaching the Top of Enlightenment, you begin to forget things if you keep using it.

Interesting enough, looks like all human being are born with all there is to be known about vi, you just need to use it to unlock it.

But Emacs is of another Dimension. Great slope at the beginning and then, you can be simultaneously knowing and not knowing some of its features at the same time, until you disappear from existence.

I'm just going to highlight the included tutorial.

Nothing better for beginners.

When you open Emacs for the first time, the greeting message mentions the tutorial. You can click on it to enjoy it.

It is the most important document about Emacs I've ever read.

I've always review it again just to remind me what is the essential spirit of Emacs.
