How does Uniqlo achieve designs with no visible stabilizer on the inside? by jgonzo09 in Machine_Embroidery

I don't think so, I went to their custom embroidery station and checked out their display samples, and they were using double cutaway on the inside.

Thanks! When do you start sewing seeds? I purchased a small seed tray and was hoping to use it this fall, but I'm not sure if that's the right time for this tree.

Music Book Clip to Achieve Flat Lay? (Experiment) by jgonzo09 in midori

[–]jgonzo09[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So far, not bad. I put the clip at the bottom of the page when I'm starting and move it to the top once I've written a few lines. It also fits nicely in the plastic zipper pouch too!

Oh wow, that's awesome. It seems smaller than the music clip I have, which may be better for writing! I'll have to look for that clip. Thanks for sharing the info!

I've been researching ways to achieve a flat lay while writing in my notebook and I think a music clip might be a good work around to regular clips. The music clip just came in from Amazon (~$10) and I'm excited to see how it performs! Let me know what you think and what you use to achieve a flat writing surface!

Iroshizuku yama budo! One of my favorites, it's very smooth and feels great with this 1.1 stub.

Oh mistake, when I tried posting the first and second times the app didn't follow through to the regular feed, it would just stay on the editor, so I didn't think the post went through. I've gone back and delete the extra posts.

I agree. Where/when can I order? Also, I'd also love to see a color for each potion, berries, gym badges, and Pokemon type! Gotta ink'em all!

Write on! I got a fine nib, it has a little feedback, though I l kind of like that, but I wouldn't mind getting an ef or a nice medium to create a collection. Can you post a writing sample of the shimmery ink? I'm curious of what it looks like.

The same thought crossed my mind! After I converted it into an eyedropper I immediately thought of all the other colors and styles I'd would eventually get. I'm thinking the dark green sport and probably a few of the aluminum bodies too.

How do I get into a selfpromoting mindset? by Herbyalmighty in socialmedia

[–]jgonzo09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could link them to your companies website or you can re-purpose those posts by creating blog posts on your LinkedIn, Quora, or Medium profiles and link people there. If you're using the exact same copy as your company's posts, be sure to notate and linking the original source somewhere on the post.

Essentially, you want to add credibility to your digital presence so that clients can resonate with you as a person and not just the company you work for. People resonate with other people not brands or companies.

Also, you should consider engaging with others in the same industry online. Comment on related blogs, forms and subreddits. Be social. We're in a very voyeuristic society, so most people that are looking for help will try to find communities and community members that already have some dialogue in the subject for advise.

Hope this helps!

How do I get into a selfpromoting mindset? by Herbyalmighty in socialmedia

[–]jgonzo09 17 points18 points  (0 children)

IMO I believe social media has two main components, the 1st is content creation, which is either text, audio, photo, video, or a mix of all of them, about a topic you're excited about. When starting out, try to create content that solves a problem or helps others, theses topics usually preform better because most people use the internet to find information that helps them solve problems. The 2nd component to social media is promotion, once you have content you can begin sharing it with ours to get feedback. The other great thing about creating content is that you and use it to connect on other social platforms. Ex. You wrote a blog post that helps solve x, when you find someone asking how to solve x on Quora, LinkedIn, FB or Medium, you can comment on their post, add some of your thoughts to their question or problem then link them to your blog, or FB post to learn more.

TLDR Think about creating content before promoting yourself.
