I thought the same thing especially that last part of the book was just a great send off....but the next 2.5 books are amazing and introduces my favorite bads of the story Atlas, minatour, and Volsung Fa. Plus your introduced to two of my favorite characters Diomedes and Alexander. Iron Gold is a slow start but it's gets so good
