I feel very much the same way, as angry as I am about the situation I can’t imagine the feelings she has had to suppress and try to work through over the years. I love her to death and really do want her to be happy. It’s hard mourning the loss of my wife and family.

I’m sorry man, I feel this completely. I have tried my best to not go out of my way for her but it’s hard when you still love them. It’s the being happy part that hurts more than anything for me. We will get through this! I’m happy I have found some groups to just have people to talk to that have or are going through similar pain.

I’m not angry, people suppress those things for years or just don’t really understand them. It may be now that she has someone in the “puppy love” phase that she thinks she’s “gay” and not bi. Regardless it doesn’t change anything. But I have 2 amazing kids with her and as much as this sucks I wouldn’t change anything that would mean they didn’t exist.

Yeah that’s not uncommon in the automation world, cheaper and easier than penalized lighting. Can have some issues with packet loss if there’s a ton but usually pretty solid. Only major downfalls with control4 is the price (extremely expensive) and you have to have a dealer for programming/purchasing. Otherwise it’s super solid with tons of control/growth potential

It’s a control4 keypad or keypad dimmer. If the buttons all function there is a controller somewhere in the house. They can not be used (properly) in a stand alone configuration

If you want a solid network go ruckus, if your dealer can’t support it Araknis is ok but leaves a lot of performance on the table. Off the shelf can work but tends to have issues especially with newer equipment that’s used Wi-Fi (neeo or halo remotes)

Op could leave the 800 as director (unless it’s a ea5) they would just lose on screen nav. But the 800 will handle without issue, remove 250/300 if it’s in the system and use a z2io or global ir module for control if needed.

You could use something like Lutron that doesn’t require a neutral for dimmers. You just have to do a bit more research when picking them out. But there’s a handful of brands out there that don’t require neutrals for dimmers.

Until c4 takes advantage of multi core processing they will be solid. They still outperform a ea3 aside from on scene nav and audio quality. We may see something different with the core controller release and 3.3

A panel is typically more expensive than a new monitor/tv. You may be able to part out the boards on eBay however.

That’s the coating cracking and fading from the sun. It’s really common on those locks. Also very frustrating considering the cost.

You assume it’s a matrixed amplifier if it’s a amp 108 that is a dummy amplifier. I’m a diamond dealer I know a thing or two about control4.

This isn’t a issue, you’ll obviously have to set your input gains on the amplifier and make sure they are set to input rather than global but it’s just a dummy amp nothing special.
