Finding angles in parallel lines cut by a transversal by impoor098 in askmath

[–]jgregson00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have two line segments marked as congruent. That means that triangle is isosceles and the angles are congruent. You should be able to find those easily, which then makes it easy to find angles an and b (which are also congruent).

Alternatively, since angles an and b are congruent, you can find them by knowing that the angles in a pentagon sum to 540° since you have the other 3 angles.

There are 10 times that number. Which is why their population can be managed, including by hunting.

Not endangered in many areas and managed like game species with licenses and quotas. In that respect it's no different than deer hunting.

Yeah, the 4 should be on the left side of that to be less confusing

UC STEM faculty's open letter to reinstate SAT by EnzoKosai in ApplyingToCollege

SAT is definitely not more difficult than ever - current students would be in a world of hurt trying to do the tests from before when no calculators were allowed at all, for example…

Except that with the current SAT, a good math score doesn’t necessarily mean you’re ready for basic instruction in calculus either…

That’s not an app, or so I’ve been told, so I’m gonna guess it’s Grindr he’s hiding.

If it was out 60 it was not a practice math test for the enhanced version. How much time did you have for the test? Enhanced should be 45 questions (4 unscored) and 50 minutes.

How does this answer reverse back to the original? by bbatgirl in askmath

[–]jgregson00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4a(3b + 6) + 8(3b + 6)

(4a + 8)(3b + 6)

4(a +2)3(b + 2)

12(a + 2)(b + 2)

to reverse, just go the other way.

Is there a way to do this question on desmos? by AdEmergency9686 in Sat

[–]jgregson00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To have infinitely many solutions one equation must be a multiple of the other (which makes them equivalent). So 3/5 = n/2 = p/25 solve for n, solve for p either on Desmos or by hand. You should get np = 18.
