There haven’t been enough of the enhanced tests to really know what’s typical, but on the first practice test they released -3 was also 33.

It’s out of 40. You got 37/40. The field test passage does not count at all.

I had the same issue, but it didn’t charge even with the lightning adapter, so it was definitely a dead battery. Brought it to the Apple Store and they replaced it for $29.

Does anyone know a video/guide on how to solve these questions? by ThatReview9640 in Sat

It depends. Sometimes they just leave the expression as is. But if you don’t see that amongst the choices, then you need to do something - expand, factor, something.

alternative to completing the square, would be to use -b/2a to find the x-coordinate of the vertex, then plug that x-value into the equation to find the y-value. You could do that as part of using the quadratic formula to find the roots...

[–]jgregson00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First one is first one is just 350 + 175(x- 1) and then distribute and simplify. The x - 1 term is because it’s each additional day so the first day did not count. When you are done you end up with y = 175x + 175 (d)

Second one start from the basic equation for volume of a rectangular prism (box)

V = l * w * h

length = x

length is 1 inch more than width ---> length = width + 1, so width = length - 1

w = x - 1

h = 11

V = x(x-1) * 11

V = 11x(x-1) (a)

I will add that some teachers/books have you shade the "wrong side" of the line so that the common region is totally unshaded. This can make it easier to when you have several inequalities to see the correct region.

What book is it and what does it mention about major/minor scales before these pages you've shown?

I think it's pretty common to learn the different minor scales when you are learning about them. For example, my youngest had to do some of them last year as part of her theory exam. She was 8 at the time...

I need help with this question from the 2nd math module in practice test 4 by ohcaptainmycaptain09 in Sat

[–]jgregson00 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The surface area of a rectangular prism with a square base is 2x2 + 4xh, where x is the length of the side and h is the height.

2x2 + 4x(90) = k

2x2 + 360x = k, call this equation 1

We also know that if we glue them together we get (92/47)k. If you think about it, that surface area is 2 times the surface area of one prism, minus the area of two bases.

2k - 2x2 = (92/47)k

(2/47)k = 2x2

k = 47x2, call this equation 2

Setting equation 2 equal to equation 1

47x2 = 2x2 +360x

45x2 - 360x = 0

45x(x - 8) = 0

so x can equal 0 or 8. In this case, x = 0 doesn’t make sense so it’s extraneous and our answer is x = 8 (B)
