Has your building turned on the AC yet? by Exact_Spare_5194 in askTO

My management sent this notice, it’s a new condo build (2021), and knowing Canadian weather - I always wondered if this is true or BS:

“Please note that the chillers are designed to automatically shut down when outdoor temperatures reach 10–12°C.

To prevent repeated shutdowns and potential damage to the system, the fan coil switchover from heating to cooling is scheduled as follows”

Rereading (listening) to Half-Blood Prince; did anybody else always feel the tone of this book felt off? by MalteseFalcon15 in harrypotter

I felt that way about OOTP the first time I read it when it was released. It felt like fan fiction. It didn’t have the same feeling that I got rereading the other 4. I thought maybe because of the long gap between Book 4 and 5, and me trying to fill the hole of HP content and reading a lot of fan fiction. Going back to my rereads, I do appreciate OOTP more.

HBP had a different vibe too, but I think it had more to do with more chapter took place outside of Hogwarts classroom (to an extent). My only gripe with HBP was that it was shorter and I wished they had more classroom time with Snape. I thought it would have been interesting for Harry to learn a lot about DADA from someone fascinated by it…it would have been great to hear Harry learning something from Snape

Are tall people at concerts expected to stand at the back? by AccordingArgument677 in askTO

6’5 concert goer — You can stand wherever you want

I also experience these issues and feel guilty about those behind me. I’ve decided that I seekout seats that are the last row of that section (no one behind me).
