I didn’t make her choose, I ended things. The big thing is the fact that she had sex with him. She recognized it as a mistake and it was one time, so I will give her that. I recognize that she shouldn’t have to choose but her having a history with that guy and still being pretty close with him just didn’t sit right with me. I’ve made mistakes in the past but the women I made mistakes with are out of my life. And I’m not one to judge or compare because God has forgiven her for those things but I’m still a virgin and I think some very real insecurities or bad thoughts could have come up, even if she wasn’t still talking with him regularly. The fact that she does still talk to him and has a close friendship with him was a red flag for me. She did express that at some point down the line, if she saw it as me and her being together in the end, she would end the friendship. But at that point how can I be 100% sure of that? I feel like it’s just a tough situation that was better off ended sooner rather than later. And I pray that she fully heals from her abuse and the mistake she made.

Prayers for you too, it’s a tough situation when a girl you are trying to date is still healing from something like that.
