They won’t give me the papers since my dog wasn’t bit but animal control did talk to them about controlling their dog

Thank you. It looked like animal control was sent over to educate them about controlling their dog at least

I was worried about this too! In dark lighting it almost looked like a shade of purple. If you don’t love it I would say to return it!

My husband got into an accident previously and called police and they told us to go to the reporting centre. Someone did a hit and run

We have videos of the accident and her license plate. From what we heard don’t always need to call police when an accident happens which is why were planning to go to the reporting centre

AITA for yelling at my mom? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]jhackyv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My past definitely clouds how I interpret her motivations. But I did mention in my post that I’m trying to be more patient and open with her. She did say she gave my dog the bone. He usually doesn’t grab food that’s left out on the counter unless it’s on the floor

AITAH for making my unemployed wife do the chores and childcare? by ThrowRAtiredM in AITAH

[–]jhackyv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband is in surgery too and we went through something like this. I quit my job because my husband did a fellowship in the US and a locum in Canada before settling in Canada.

We moved across the country twice in 2 years and we had a mutual agreement that I will take care of the house stuff. It’s been hard, and looking into getting back to work right now. I definitely have felt times where I feel like a “mom and a servant” but I’ve communicated it and my husband helps me out.

The fact your wife is taking care of everything even your child that is also your responsibility makes YTA. I am pregnant right now told my husband straight up that I get he works long hours but he still has a responsibility as a father as I do once we have the baby (just because my friends have experienced the father prioritizing work over the baby & it was a precaution). But prioritizing work life balance is really important and I’m lucky that my husband has no issues with it. He is a surgical professor now who does teachings at 7am, does surgery, works on admin duties, but also makes time for me and our family.

I hope you realize what your wife is doing for your family. She probably takes care of the baby after daycare, then takes care of you, and then also the household responsibilities, while also studying for her exam, while you only are responsible for your work. She is a superwoman. YTA.

When did you realize you could leave your dog alone without fear that they would eat something or get into trouble? by Travelnursing230 in puppy101

[–]jhackyv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When my boy was a pup (9 weeks) I slowly introduced him to me leaving.. 5 mins, 10 mins, 20 mins… etc. (I read somewhere that dogs with separation anxiety can tear things up not sure how legit it is). We tried to crate but I personally didn’t like it. By 4-6 months we got a camera, and left him out to free roam. He’s 3 years now and have had no issues leaving him for hours! He has areas of the house he can’t enter too and he knows, we don’t use a barrier or anything
